it's really good to see them trying to do something different with a jrpg
i'm still waiting for a combat system that compete with Xenogears and Star Ocean 2nd story in the fun factor
now that bizzare has been bought by activision i wonder if the next racing game from MGS will be something like Project Forza Racing.
i know there are some big PGR fans but with games like Need for Speed, Burnout, Midnight Club and to a lesser extent Juice, Ridge Racer, Test Drive, i don't think that the PGR franchise is gonna continue.
i just played through the first game of the trilogy and even me a big jrpg fan i was getting tired of the endless cutscenes and i still have part 2 and 3 to go through
*on topic* lost odyssey looks interesting but in a very traditional way, i haven't seen anything thing innovative yet, still plan on getting it though.
just some observation:
most ps3 fanboys just say stupid sh!t like "halo sux", "your x360 will explode" and act really immature, that's why imo ps3 fanboys are easier to deal with just click on ignore.
but x360 fanboys are more irritating imo cuz they always act superior like being a x360 fanboy is something noble and sony is evil.
nintendo fanboys only come out when people bash on the Wii which happens like never cuz nintendo ne...
the 2 biggest ammo x360 fanboys have been using so far is theps3 has no games and it's too expensive (which can be arguably true depending on your game taste).
but the ps3 has been selling on average about a third of the x360 numbers in america and almost the same amount worldwide and that's without any advertising or coherent marketing strategy.
every gamer i know in real life are just waiting for a price drop to get a ps3, the halo effect is gonna last a couple...
they actually talk about Mass Effect in the article which imo is gonna be game of the year
i don't know or care if it has the new chip or whatever, the fact is that a x360 manufactured in august of this year according to the picture got the RRoD which is unacceptable in my book as a x360 owner who had one system died already.
MS advertisement is everywhere almost every page in every game site as at least one x360 ad and a lot of 3rd party multi-platform games ads ends with the x360 jump in slogan
sony should take a page from MS playbook and start throwing money left and right
PC has no games, you conveniently forget that almost all multiplatform games are also being released on PC and one of the highest ranked games this year Bioshock is on PC also

UT III is not really a good example cuz it's gonna come out much later for the x360 just like VF5.
with Burnout Paradise and DMC4 we will have a good example of games developed with ps3 as lead platform, cuz they gonna release on both console simultaneously.

i've played through the demo about a dozen times and yes there are some framerate dips but nothing that would stop me from purchasing the game if i only had a PS3
