I like how we post a link with additional information on the interview and someone opted to 'disagree'. It's like there are ostriches on N4G who choose to shove their heads in the sand rather than recognize new information.
Knowledge is power, people.
Ryan Moody (aka @shutdownsaftey) has a supplemental interview with Johnny Rutledge that talks about more about his NFL credentials and the original twitter controversy (see below).
Johnny mentions that EA showers NFL players with games, perks and other items so that they quell any resistance.
I whole heartedly agree with you that Madden hasn't been doing anything to improve because they have zero competition in the space. All Johnny is asking for is an even playing field so that gamers can get an improved football/NFL product.
Thank you so much for your feedback, Bowski! Greatly appreciated.
Casey Loe has been a valuable addition to the show and his input is apparent in this episode.
Iceman06, I think you are dead on with this.
He mentioned on the show he was in the top 300 of team deathmatch players in CoD which is no small feat. It takes almost a fanatical level of dedication and intensity in order to compete against those players and that's exactly what you'd think an athlete would do if he had no other outlet (because of an injury).
There's a lot more at play here, but we wanted to help him clear the air that he didn'...
To everyone that commented here, I'll pass along your comments to Michael as I'm sure he'd love hearing how well his game was/is remembered.
Additionally, definitely tell your friends, family and random passers by about this kickstarter and we'll be sure to promote the ever-lovin-crap out of this on our show.
Thanks for all your comments and feedback and I'll let you know what he says.
Swiftfox, you do realize that the game is also empowering women by making them kick ass in the game. Both the Amazon and Sorceress (and Elf for that matter) all are powerful representations of women.
Additionally, as a college educated man...a fat, college educated man...a fat, college educated man who is balding (read: bald) I have to say that the shirtless, tiny-headed men in the game are a gross mis-representation of men.
As for the comments of insults ...
I hadn't ever heard that one before, Wynams. Adding that to the ol' quote notebook*
* For full disclosure, it's actually it's a Word doc, not a notebook.
Well said, HakatoX!
I can always move that line down a few paragraphs. ;)
But seriously, I am also not a big fan of Ayn Rand's 'objectivism' philosophy but we allowed James the opportunity to expand upon that premise as long as it provided the construct of the article and not the content. I think that James did a great job making the argument that "if you don't inherently like something (say, 2D beat 'em ups) and are providing your opinion on that subject, why are you i...
The Vita version of this game is absolutely phenomenal. You can't go wrong with this and (as Willamson points out) Muramasa. Both exceptional titles on that system.
Wow, you and I are equal and our dinosaur-ocity with references to MK controversy.
I'm going to keep touting this game as one of the best examples of why gaming is a superlative pastime and why (if games like these still exist) I'll still be gaming when I'm 80 years old.
Dragon's crown site states that both PS3 and Vita version supports online mulitplay using PSN account and have cross-save features, but the game does not support cross-online multiplay between PS3 and Vita. :(
For online play there is random matching system where you are matched with someone who has a similar level as you. We've been able to test that out with Japanese players who have had the game since last week and it has been awesome.
This article captured pretty much everything I had to think about the art in Dragon's Crown: http://art-eater.com/2013/0...
Additionally, the grandstanding and personal-platforms people are building over this game is absolutely shameful. The article above shows how Dragon's Crown reference material is based in classical ...
There are very few titles that bring me back to the exact moment and mood of a certain period in my life. Pilotwings 64 is absolutely one of those titles.
The music and gameplay each play a part in bringing a flood of memories back. Looks like it's time to dig my 64 out of storage...again.
This should be sent out with every EVO registration packet. Some sage advice for attending EVO and any other game related event.
I know! We did a written interview with them at E3 and this Kickstarter only had something like two weeks left. They've made over $100,000 in a week but I'm really hoping that Nintendo pony's up the rest of the funding (Pencil Test was just made an official Nintendo developer yesterday).
Finger's crossed Armikrog makes it's goal!
That one made me almost as happy as the Bonus Room song from Skullmonkeys
I'm loving that this post has the same temperature as the article about new Madden footage for the PS4. It's a split right down the middle of people who want more information on Madden and people who want more information about having Madden change (see below).
