If we go by the pass history of Xbox alone. The 360 did sell 80 million consoles last generation. I can easily seeing 2 million Xbox fans buying the system in 2 weeks. Microsoft is on their 3rd console they are not an up start anymore. They have built the Xbox brand up. Even the mighty PS3 sold out of it's stock at a much higher price tag than the Xbox one. It may not be as hot as the PS4, but it's still selling well.

Exactly Sony got arrogant with the PS2. They didn't see Microsoft as a threat going into the PS3 and 360 geneation. Microsoft took a big bite out of Sony sales to basically tie them in the PS3 360 generation. It's good to see competition this time around because it's better for us. You don't want to see any console fell that would be bad for business.

ANd you you mind friend got 49 disagrees for being logical. They just ruled out that the Xbox has etched out it's own brand over the last 10years.
Microsoft is going to allow external hard drives it suppose to be in the Spring update. You already can store games on a a 360 by USB if you like. Up to 32GB is allowed wich is the equvalent to about 4 games.
Bottom line it's cheaper. I think alot more parents are buying it for their kids. On the other hand alot of young Adults are buying the XboxONe. When TitanFall hits it's like going to be a relaunch. People will have their income tax money.
What's the big deal they are making a $28 dollar profit right off the bat. They in it for the long run every year the parts will get cheaper so the profit will grow. They want have to dig themselves out of a hole right at launch. Why is everything thing on here is always seen as a bad thing. The one thing you can say about Microsoft is that they make money.
Why would they make the PS4 or the Xboxone BC? When they are still selling and manufacturing PS3 and 360's. I can understand them making an emulator available in few years, which would be cool.
