Sega was never deemed invincible. Believe it or not, but the introduction of Sony doomed Sega with the PS1.
Sony problems over the years was high priced electronics and it still is. Stiff competition in Televisions computers and phones. Samsung LG and others have been making a better product. At a cheaper price. Instead being the Video game leader they split that with two other companies.
