Actually, I felt like Saints Row 2 addressed every one of those problems, and yet it doesnt get a lot of recognition (it controls like a dream, and u dont need lock-on to play well). Either way, San Andreas's driving and shooting was meant to be arcade-like. My girlfriends first game in years was Vice City and she loved it's simple to grasp controls.
The author's statement is exceedingly arrogant. What ever happened to good, old-fashioned fact-finding, statistics-based, poll-voting type of journalism? Granted it IS highly opinion based, but the author should have backed up such a bold statement with quotes from highly respected publications, metacritic reviews, etc that support his view, before making a statement like that. Truly, he stands alone on such a claim.

Actually a reboot isnt such a bad idea--HOWEVER, this particular reboot--with it's new Dante does suck (even if i'm bored of the old one too) and giving the development rights to Ninja Team is the stupidest thing Capcom has done since on-disc dlc.

$15 is kinda steep for Killzone 1 Hd, especially considering that ign's preview says it doesnt hold up by todays standards, plus they neglected to reinstate the online multiplayer...
It's not "The Press". It's just a bunch of fanboy "journalists" who post their crap on n4g, but every time you visit their website, it looks far from professional (looks like it's on a site hosting domain), barely facts/statistics-based, and filled with gramatical errors.
Sony is the only one protecting core gamers interests. 360 and Nintendo fanboys want Sony out, so they can enjoy their stupid repeats of annual cod/mario-spin offs (the main series games are great though)/halo/gears games without fear of those games going away (due to the outcry of REAL gamers demanding new IP's and innovation in games). In other words, Nintendo is for casuals, and xbox is for those in-between (only play easy FPS games and Gears...no strategy, or thinking involved).
It is slow as hell though. But maybe it's a RAM thing or something.
I have to [respectfully] disagree. I dont think sony spent all that money acquiring Gaikai just to make demo's on cloud. Granted, yes, that is what Gaikai used to do, so that may mean that theres a limit on what they can stream without getting noticable lag, but I think sony will aim higher than just doing demo's. 1-Friend Codes
2-Un-tested Nintendo Network (in high traffic situations)
3-None of your friends from previous games will be there (from psn/live)
4-Trey Arc confirmed it isnt native 1080p, thus a mere illusion of 1080p
5-Not many people will be on mics since wii u wont come with one, nor does the controller have a port for mic.

Saints Row 2 (in my honest opinion) is a better game (to me), however it is not as big. Yeah it was a rip off, but the fighting, aiming, driving, and crews were better implemented (again, just my opinion). Saints Row 3 sucks though. Still, I hope GTA 5 has a stronger hand to hand combat system and does away with lame lock-on system. Other than that, GTA are the best games ever.
