Looks like BF 3.5 to me, I hope this next reveal focuses on what's new. I'm seriously starting to get bored of shooters, but it's not because they suck, it's because they need something new. BF is new to a lot of people, but for a long-time veteran like me (been playing since the first game all the way up to BF3), it feels like I been-there, done-that already.

Are we in the same decade? I don't think that applies in the 21st century. The best members of those teams have long since left Square and Rare. The only things the new Square and Rare have with their past selves, is their respective company names. That's all.

Other than for the team that works on Monster Hunter, I'd have to say Capcom's dev teams suck lately. And don't even get me started on Capcom as a publisher (but I won't go there since we're talking about developers).

Hell Yeah. For me it's Kojima Pro too, as well as:

--Atlus (SMT series, Persona, Catherine, too many other games)
--FromSoftware (Demon's souls, Armored Core, Tenchu, etc)
--Sony Japan studio (too many games to name!)
--Naughty Dog (Crash, Uncharted, Jak&Daxter, etc)
--Miyamoto (WAY too many games to mention)

Dude! I'm totally calling it CableBox720 from here on out! Brilliant!

Clearly you don't have one. Unless you count "Palmela".

REAL female gamers like REAL games. They might play excercise/motion games too, but when time comes for a real, challenging, narrative-based game, they go to hardcore games. Like my wife: The games she loves the most are some of the toughest, most REWARDING experiences, not easy crap:

Uncharted, Tomb Raider, Mass Effect Trilogy, Heavy Rain, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, Monster Hunter PSP, Castlevania SOTN, Valkyria Chronicles 1 & 2, Persona 3 & 4, Tokyo Jungle, Okam...

A complaint i would welcome. Remember the ps1 days? Seriously it felt like 30 new games came out PER week. And almost all of them were good. I want that again.

@Wutchugannado:

Yeah but how many of these 8% are playing on souped-up gaming rigs? Or even half way decent rigs? Also, the inclusion of DRM is also putting a damper on bootleg games, thus causing the illusion that more people are playing, when in actuality, more people who have already been playing (though illegally), are now forced to have to pay up due to DRM which eliminates bootlegging as [their] prefered way of getting games.

Also, need I remind you tha...

your right dude, but I found an email through this article! It's in the hyper links at the bottom. Click it for the job positions, and it has the emails for kojima LA studios job positions.

Monster Hunter is fantastic. Go back to COD or whatever other numb-nut, high-octane, no skill requiring, western crap you like to play.

Yeah but E3 won't solve MS's problems, it will only highlight them, because Sony will also be at E3, with a ton of stuff to show off. And so will Nintendo and Valve. MS will have to share the spotlight 4 ways, with Sony having the biggest shine (so far) of the 4.

Seriously, MS better do a show before E3 or else it won't get the individual attention it needs. The question however, is does MS even have a worthy next-gen console reveal that is worth watching? Or is ...

Does the new L.A. studio have a website? I could not find it yet. I need to know how badly they intend on changing mgo via "westernization" (as Kojima put it).

Dude i'm the same way! I only love Demons Souls games, MGS/MGO, Shin megami/Persona, Monster Hunter, and Miyamoto's games (up until gamecube). But I still love the Zelda's on Wii and Mario Galaxy. But I HATE what Iwata's done with the Wii U (and have no intention of getting one anytime soon).

But lately, there are not many japanese games coming to consoles, especially ported to the West anymore. They make the best/deepest games, but are far behind when it come...

Just because the SP hasn't been good before doesn't mean it can't get better later. And besides, DICE already hired a new story writer. Also, this notion that the multiplayer suffers due to the team working on single player (or vice versa) is utter nonsense. There is no evidence to suggest that that is true.

Thanks Pillsbury.

Hell yeah i'd actually get one if it was $50 less WITH a free game (my preference being Monster Hunter).

4828d ago 5 agree0 disagreeView comment

Why? Unless it's due to Monster Hunter, I don't see why the spike was so sudden. I personally think the Wii U has no direction whatsoever, but Monster Hunter is very tempting. If Capcom puts it on ps3, ps4 or Vita, then i'd rather get it on those.

But if not, i'll get it on a used Wii U when the innevitable price drop comes due to the onslaught of real next gen tech consoles.

Yeah the vita wasn't do so well at first, but we're talking about Sony here. Sony is the king of comebacks. And if they play their cards right, the Vita could catch up with the 3ds due to renewed 3rd party love, indie games, and PS4 remote play.
