So SSD, ROM storage and other storage media like a thumb drive that can hold up to 2TB are dead formats??
For those thinking cartridge in the traditional 90s era... would it be better to visualize a thumb drive based or SSD based house in a cartridge housing (I am sure modernized and thinner). The advantages of using this format is through the roof. Access speeds, massive storage space for example come to mind. Disk based media (blu-ray etc) are becoming a thing of the past. I for one welcome this change. Nintendo will be the first out the gate using this new media and I am sure Sony and Microsof...
Can't see Nintendo releasing two premier Mario games as part of their launch line up. So I can see either Mario Galaxy 3 or Mario Sunshine in the launch line up.
For Nintendo sake I hope you are wrong. Historically when Nintendo have a failed console they tend to right the ship with the next generation. NX need to be a big seller (20 million is not enough) for the company.
100% disagree. Nintendo resources and focus will be on the NX. Just look back at their history with failed consoles.
All I am sure will be playable on the NX. Once again, I see no reason to keep a dying console. Best to trade it in now before its trade in value take a huge drop once the NX is announced.
Nope it doesn't. I am currently trading in my to Amazon. The future is with the NX. All rumors point to Nintendo making right by all the mistakes they made with WiiU.
Kimishima should have taken over years ago.
Like the previous generation... it will be on both the WiiU and the NX (with some added functionality unique to the new console). This satisfies the die hards that supported the failed WiiU (failed in terms that it will not even come close the the Wii success) and adds to the games available to the new console launch.
Thank God... the Iwata format was just dated. Look forward to seeing the new format.
Yet Nintendo is still a profitable company and Sega not so much. Nintendo still make hardware and Sega... well do we even have to state the obvious. At the end of the day its the bottom-line that counts. Post like this is meaningless flame-baiting.
The games already announced for the NX are factual and not speculation. What the console specs and capabilities will be are speculation at this point till E3 2016.
This tech demo would be much more suited for Link and not Mario.
Well said... All I need to hear from Nintendo is that NX is backward compatible with WiiU. Then I will sell the failed WiiU so I can play Zelda WiiU on NX provided they solve all the blatant issues with the WiiU. Till then I will be enjoying my PS4.
Its not about top notch graphics. Zelda WiiU early build looks amazing with lush environments. StarFox is overly simplistic and bland.
Star Fox Adventures on Gamecube looks more polished for its time. This game has simplistic looking graphics with flat bland terrains.
Well said.
At this point we are beyond hoping with Nintendo and the WiiU. Yr to Yr it just keep on getting worse to the point they should just skip E3 all together.
The game visually is very Very underwhelming. Gamecube Star Fox Adventures pushed the then gamecube which was graphically brilliant looking and gameplay was very immersive. This game for the WiiU graphically is very poor. The efforts made with Zelda WiiU is clear with lush environments and attention to details. What I see here with Starfox is the complete opposite. Very disappointing.
Still waiting for that update that makes the UI butter smooth. Even with this update its still not a butter smooth experience.
