When does it begin?
I found fallout a bit boring. The main story wasn't amazing, but it was OK, but after that theres nothing that isn't tedious left to do

Not another Halo 2 was da best FPS evah guy. Whilst bungie helped online gaming it didn't improve it to the degree where every game ever is now built on Halo2. Halo 2 was the worst in the series.
Yes because we all judge games on graphical capability.
Anyway as long as it looks good and has better gameplay than KZ it will be the best FPS ever. Don't get me wrong, KZ2 had, IMO, the best FPS gameplay this gen and last gen and the gen before that etc etc. I personally would have prefered a modern setting, but horses for courses and all that. KZ2 is the FPS to beat though.

They seem to have come a long way from the games of old. No longer can we say 'Fifa 95 or 2005, they're both the same but with new players don't you know', or 'EA? Isnt that the company that makes sport games and Medal Of Honour?' They've poured millions into R&D of new IP's and existing ones. They and actibizzle seem to have swapped sides, with actibizzle publishing either sequels or crap and EA actually creating brilliant original games or concepts.

There was an article on IGN just over a year after COD4's release saying COD4 had sold 14 mil, 10 mil on 360 and 4 mil (yes FOUR mil) on PS3, KZ2 selling over 1.5M just over 2 months after its release isn't bad going.
So has every other company that has ever produced consoles or games. What exactly is your point? That MS made the gaming industry into a glistening beacon of success and succeeded where all other companies had failed?
Still though, I'm curious as to what exactly you believe MS did that shaped the industry into whatever you see it as.
Load of crap. Halo 3 got millions of sales A. Because its Halo, B. Because its widely regarded to be a good game and C. Because 90% of 360 owners are FPS nuts. Anyway, when Halo 3 came out MS had more quality exlusives than Sony on the market. This argument may carry a little more weight nowadays (though its still Bull$h1t), but you can't account for Halo 3's sales by saying there was nothing else.

Quite why IGN are still seen as one of the best sites for games still baffles me. Never expect honest reviews or awards from IGN. I'm not saying this as a fanboy ect, but from the fact they gave LBP, Gears 2, Halo 3 and Res 2 the same 9.5 score. Fishy much? Oh and the fact they gave fallout game of the year. WTF! Killzone got a gold award too. Read the whole list. And your comment on the first page doesn't make much sense. Halo = Flop then KZ = flop because they have the same award? Yes they do, but Killzone also has a gold award to add to its silver.
