Roll back to October 2004, the year and month Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was released, it has a plethora of features that span more than just days or weeks of entertainment, San Andreas is the definitive GTA experience, GTA4 is a gameplay downgrade from SA, the only thing it GTA4 has going for it is graphics, and even the graphics aren't "as promised" or even as shown on most screen shots and game trailers, obviously very cautiously selected.

Hype wise Halo 3 under-delivered in all categories except "Fun", but fun is subjective I hate Halo, it's nothing to do with my personal preference, the game mechanics are just pure whack and are meant for a target demographic.
All this is comparing Hype, GTA4 was severely hyped, but it delivered more promises than Halo 3 did that's for damn sure.
In the end, neither delivered the expectations for the massive hype they generated.

I'll be having my own review up soon when I hit 100% shouldn't be to far along I'm right there 5% away, I played it on a SDTV because it looks utterly HORRIBLE on a HDTV.

You can't be serious I have a Sony Bravia 40" 1080p HDTV set, @ 720p and 1080p it looks like junk the low res textures on a HDTV are so horrifying. Man, GTA4 makes Army of Two look like Crysis.

I gotta agree with you Terminator, 10/10 is falling into the hype, I only have 5% more to go or 6% completion wise and I think I'm mostly done rating the game on my own terms, it's not worth a 10/10.
How is it the best GTA yet? It's quite a downgrade from SA gameplay wise.
Really the euphoria engine didn't seem to great.. It was over-hyped much like something else..

Socom if you compare GTA4 to GTA3:SA SA comes out on top in every category except graphics, other than that I agree with this review, this game just plain doesn't deserve 10/10, I had a lot of fun, but in the end it felt like a cheap whore.

Btw, you just pwned yourself, The Xbox 360 version of GTA4 is 99, and the PS3 version is 100.
