I do not mind having origin but it will come down to sale price if I use it.

I agree. I no longer go to LAN parties anymore so I do not care but it is clear they want to keep some PC revenue. If they try the same stuff as MW2 they would have lost PC money to BF3 even more.
I will not get MW3 until I see how much patch work is needed for the PC. If they did not have dedicate severs I would not even think about getting it. I think I played 20 hours max of MW2. The P2P stuff was a pain to play with my community.
They did put put an alpha. In the past t would have been called beta. Now beta is demo and gives them a start on fixes post launch.

Agree on the lure part. I find it hard to pay $60 when I am not sure if I will like it. I only buy new if the game/dev has a proven track record. (i.e Dice / Naughty Dog)
I wish I could get into this game. I guess I am not a sim type racer. While I do not play it anymore, it is great to see the support and addtions. Most devs/publishers only support if they can sell DLC.
Just got it and played 1 hour. So far so good. I just wanted to test my graphics for $5 but this game is a lot better than I expected.
How many PC gamers go to Gamestop for a PC game? Dumb move. All they did was stop a few future sales to Onlive and get other (console) people mad.
Got it last night. I have been going back and forth on this one. But for for this price I could not pass it up. Now I need to find time to play it.
I am a PC fanboy because I am graphic snob. However, I think this is great news if PS3 has KB/M and is able to play with us. I have a few friends I would like to game with on the PS3. Has Valve confirm if we get Steam code with the PS3 version?

Devs will start to follow Dice. They will want to show their work on the PC to get the console buyers to want it.
Very interesting.. Wonder if Microsoft is blocking them from Cross Plateform play. To make it a fair experince, they should allow K/M on the PS3 and allow gamepad on the PC.

Is it possible to build an add-on via USB just to store what is need to add Chat to the PS3. I do not need it but those who want it can spend a few bucks for it. Or is there a speed limitation with USB?
EA wins in the short term since people will get battlefield. However when EA wants to sell a not so popular game it needs to run back to steam for sales.
It is good but we expected it. 199 would have been a shocker.
Also - Does Origin take you guys a long time to load? I feel like it is over 60 secs for it to come up and every upgrade has been a pain.
