Yup. The pins would get dirty and dusty, anyone that's cleaned a game with a q tip knows that. Blowing the cartridge out would had have to helped.

For us that enjoy physical its bad, but its not a bad idea for Sony and Microsoft. Around 70% (probably more for xbox) of Xbox and PlayStation games are being sold as digital. They'd have more control and save on shipping and manufacturing cost. We can kick and scream all we want, but its going to happen.

The list is a bit skewed.
2 was decent at best, no way was it on the same level as the first one. My biggest complaint was that it was way too easy, the combat wasn't the least bit challenging. Of course 2 outsold 1, the original Xbox only sold 24M units vs the 360's 87M.

And not one of these people making a fuss here complained about Sony laying off the 250 employees that were in the Blu-ray department. It's always "it's unfortunate but Sony is a business" when it comes to Sony layoffs, but when Xbox does it they're horrendous monsters that fire people for fun.

Digital is the majority sadly, there's going to be a day when physical is gone.
