As dude above me says, that last part is absolute bs. When Sony was struggling with the PS3 at the beginning of the last generation they would only ever report on units shipped, not direct sales to consumers.

Ryse looks great visually and as far as I'm aware the story ain't half bad either, but the gameplay is so repetitive it hurts.

Resogun. There's one game for ya.

I don't think they can drop Kinect at this stage. Maybe in the future. As others have said, I think they're gonna need to bite the bullet and drop the RRP.

Ugh, well that's not gonna happen. That would be an awful move from a business stand point.

Revealing a sequel to The Last of Us would certainly end the presentation with a bang.

Good stuff. Wonder if it will receive a similar reaction in Europe.

I really hope Sony get a Minecraft bundle set up as I can see that selling like hotcakes as well.

£45-50 per game, there's a reason.

Most gamers aren't squabbling over sales, they're playing games. ^_^

If you want something creative, you just need to look at Tearaway. Critically acclaimed but still achieved poor sales figures according to insiders.

I have no doubt Borderland 2's reception will play a very big role in determining the future of third party support for the Vita.

Edit:

When he says that the 'economics simply don’t work with the traditional process', it just means there isn't enough Vitas out to justify the creation of expensive AAA titles (built from the ground up specifically for Vita). From a business stand point, it makes complete sense. At this stage the risk simply o...

It's lacking in third party support, plain and simple. Not exactly surprising either. Even the Wii, with its huge sales figures, had a really low attachment rate. Third party games simply didn't sell very well.

It's called logical thinking.

DICE are developing it. Safe to say it's in pretty good hands. People will link the whole BF4 disaster with them, but I think in reality the fault lied more or less on EA. At its core, BF4 is great game, as is the whole BF(BC) series.

Damn, I'm guessing they should just dish the game up to you on a silver platter? How dare they ask for money for their video game... It's as if they're a business!

They can't really win then, can they? Whilst in your perspective the new Battlefront needs to be free of perks, weapon mods, loadouts, killstreaks, and so forth, to another person that would leave too much of a barebone game. Hell, Titanfall has been criticised for its lack of customisation and features, and that has most of the things listed above.

Gotta say I disagree with regards to games. Not going to suggest it has lots of stuff coming, because it hasn't - basically jack all in fact. However, it's got enough titles under its belt to last a new owner quite some time.

'They would have been better off with the pirates, though; at least then they could sell hardware.'

... and then it would have had literally no support from game developers.

What's so wrong with a constant connection required for online? It's not like you can play it without it.
