Hmm. I went and saw toy story 3 yesterday. Great movie. Saw it in 2D because for me 3D adds nothing to a movie. The interesting thing was to see that every single movie coming out seems to be a me too in 3D affair. However I don't think that it is really taking away from the 2D movies at all. There is no denying this is a visually beautiful game. I agree that the gameplay was average.
Perhaps the best at E3. However I can't help but wish these graphics were in a better game. IMO the 2nd was just so so. A story I couldn't care less about. Characters I couldn't stand. Gameplay that was just so-so. By the end I just wanted it to be over. Now if we could see a Demon's Souls 2 with such graphics I would be tickled pink. Alas, what we get is perhaps the best looking console game ever but IMO it is just a prettied up turd.
Looks like a Diablo 3 type game. I guess when Blizzard does it, it is awesome. But any other 2.5D isometric view game is utter crap? Right guys? Double standards are the best.

I used to check every day, just sure that the beta would be released. I think I gave up around last September.
I have a PS3, I played the game and whether your little fanboy brain can concieve of it or not, not everyone liked the game. Not everyone is a MGS fan. You logic is so flawed I cannot begin to parse it out. So...I won't try. Nothing I said points to fanboyism, whereas your entire comment screams, "I am a fanboy that cannot handle a difference of opinion!"

I know I will likely get bubbles taken for this comment as MGS4 is the golden calf of PS3 but I think there are many many better games.
I totally agree. There was that one part when you were underground and you actually saw some blue creeping in through a crevasse above you. I was impressed and wished they had showed a bit more artistic prowess throughout the game. I suppose the engine could support beautiful levels and really take it to the next level. Let's hope they do in the next one.
A story that isn't hackneyed and cliched. Characters that I actually care about. And finally an enemy that is not one sided and boring. But I won't get any of this so I will settle for great graphics and good gameplay. Here is hoping. Still I can't bring myself to care too much about the franchise because the story is weak and the characters are worse.
Yeah bink is fairly ubiquitous. This is not a big deal but will be made into one by fanboys. If I were to pick up the game what version would I get? Well the PS3 one of course. But those who play the 360 version will not have a poor experience. I don't think they will even have to get up more times than I do to change discs. Afterall I will not play straight through it. I will go to sleep. The bathroom. Work. Etc. So getting up 2 times or so to swap discs is really a non issue.
The gamecube was awesome. If only people had chosen it over the PS2...then maybe nintendo would still be on top...oh wait. In all seriousness I feel the GC was leaps and bounds better than the PS2. Just as I feel the PS3 is leaps and bounds better than the Wii. Funny how being an inferior console leads to domination. Hmmm...

There are great games that are not on the system you own! I don't own a Wii but that doesn't mean I don't wish I could play Mario Galaxy, New Mario Wii, etc. etc. But I can play both the games relevant to this discussion and I will. Oh it is great not to be a fanboy.

LOVED the first. Didn't finish the second, probably 'casue I went to play it years after it came out, by then it just seemed so-so. Super excited about the 3rd.
I hope this one also allows for a completely non lethal playthrough. Did that with the first as much as was possible. It was fun but took a long time. hopefully this one gives more options and abilities for a non lethal approach.
