I agree 70 should be a great game. But higher scores are handed out too easily. Leaving no real distinction between games at the 90+ level. I wish 70 was considered a play this game score with 80 being best of the year, 90 being best of a generation, and 100 being best of a genre ever. This way all these games listed. would get in the 70s and gamers would know they were games they should play. Oh well.
Perhaps it is time(not just money) wasted that some people factor into their satisfaction level. For me a game has to be worth my time as well as money, or I don't feel that it was worth it.
I have a feeling that Kinect may fail as a videogame controller. No flame, just think that the tech is not quite ready yet. It is an interesting advancement in interacting with your screen though.
Microsoft makes windows. Kinect on the PC may lead to Minority report esque control schemes. Also at 150 or so and sure to drop it would be interesting to see this tech integrated into monitors and or tvs. I think it will happen. Voice and gesture controlled tv and computing...

Yeah I was asking specifically what makes this interactive scenario only possible with move. personally I have little doubt that the 360 could pull this scene off. Kinect seems capable too, unless he is pressing buttons on the Move during his manic flailing that passes for controlling a game. But after all fun is a major reason for gaming and he seemed to be having fun.

Meh, it may be unpopular but to me DS was a much more enjoyable experience. Flame away. I think MGS4 is overrated. Now Demon's souls. That was also a worthy game to be in the top 5. Like I said to each his or her own. Just saying MGS4 is not in my top 5 all the others would likely be but Demon's for GTA4 as I have never played it.

Take off MGS4 and add Dead space or something. Never played GTA4 so can't comment on that. However i did play Dead Space on xbox so...Oh well people are entitled to their opinions.
But in order to load such large areas the install was horrible. I spent as much time watching snake smoke as I did playing the game. Both of which were dwarfed in time by cut scenes. Hopefully vast improvements have been made to the engine to allow for less install time.
Yes if you are on N4G you should have a pair of goggles. It is the only way you can read these forums without losing faith in reason and clear thinking.
how do you know the engine is better?? I thought the slice and dice part of the engine was cool. Seems more advanced than the MGS4 engine as far as that goes.
let's not revise history too much here. They were talking about graphics. They have always held MGS4 up as an example of graphics that the 360 couldn't do. I played it and wondered if they actually ever had. The graphics were ok. Not spectacular.
3D is here to stay because the companies are pushing it. Creating a "need" where none exists. To me it is a gimmick. Adds nothing to the movie experience. Just my opinion. Now with games who knows. The level of interactivity may lend itself well to 3D.
Overall the 3D effect is weak in my opinion. Adding a bit of depth to the picture but no real value.
