There is DLC that is worth the money and DLC that is just a cash grabbing scheme, offering next to nothing for far more than you should pay. And sadly people are more than willing to pay through the nose for something that should be available just through playing the game.
Expansions is the DLC I like, a meaty add-on to a game, something to sink your teeth into, to enjoy a game in a different way or just to 'expand' and carry the game on.

Sly Cooper is boring, seriously. Ratchet was great, but the other games? Nah.
And none of them were better than Marios best games. The Galaxy games and Super Mario 3D World take a large dump on those other games.

This is something that will become the norm in the future, it has to start somewhere. And while it may take a bit of grunt to get the most out of it to begin with, as time goes on they will improve and optimise it and it won't need as much power.
Why can't people just watch something for what it is instead of putting a downer on things?

So you think they aren't investing in that technology as well? This is just one aspect of tech being improved, I guarantee they are working on lots more than this.

Oh if only. I know Bioshock was the spiritual successor to the System Shock games, and it's been a great franchise, but like you I'm wishing for a sequel to the SS games.

Bought The Swapper, playing it at the moment and it's a great game, very unique. Gonna wait a few hours and see the next lot of games before I decide on what else to buy today.

My pc is good enough. Shame about yours, but it's obviously not a gaming pc. Not sure what your point is, there are loads of people with decent gaming pcs, just because you don't have one doesn't mean a lot really.

Pretty much every game in existence doesn't represent me. There's plenty of games that have males in, but they're nothing like me really. Maybe I should kick up a stink about it.
Nah, I'll just play the games and remember that I play them as a way to escape from the fairly average life I lead and don't particularly care what gender, race or age the character I'm playing as is as long as the game is enjoyable.

Outlast is an excellent game, I'd recommend it to anyone. If the expansion is on Xbox One I'd say to get that as well because it was superb.

I don't make a gaming pc JUST for gaming. Find me a $400 dollar ps4 that can edit videos, make music, do artwork on, do my tax, do anything else that a console can't do, etc,etc, etc.
