Urgh... this is all too simple.
Yes, her physique is a bit too large for the reality of the world they are in, but so is Ellie fighting off men twice her size, getting shot and patching herself up in the same 10 seconds. It's called suspension of disbelief.
Gamers know how to deal with women, but certain vocal sections of the group struggle to deal with it if it doesn't conform to Hollywood standards of sexualisation.
Don't panic tho...
I certainly sympathised with her but found the Lev & Yara storyline to be a bit of a sudden shift. When she went back to rescue them I just kept asking myself "Why...".
She's meant to be hated in the first half, and then you're meant to be challenged on that initial knee jerk reaction. In some ways you're meant to love or hate her by the end as much as you're not meant to love her or hate her by the end. It's up to you, the player. There is no right or wrong when it comes to this choice....
If you ask me, Abby is the Ellen Ripley of videogames. Strong, independent, grounded, and when she throws a punch I believe it hurt...
Disclaimer:
The Last of Us is my favourite video game of all time ...
Joel Miller is my favourite character of all time ...
The ending is by far my favourite ending in any piece of media ever ...
...so take a guess how I feel when they kill off Joel at the start, destroy the ambiguity of the original ending, and force you to play 10 hours as the person who killed Joel!!!
That's right. I Loved it! Every second of it! Masterful strokes ...
Abby is the Ellen Ripley of videogames
Captain obvious here: CLICKBAIT !
Let's say they took out Abby entirely, bar the initial flashback sequence of her as a teenager. This means....
TLOU1: approx 10 hours long.
TLOU2: approx 15 hours long.
Which means you're getting a game as long as the original except this has more, varied enemies, expanded combat, crafting, exploration, movement, animation, graphics, sound, etc...+5 hours more Ellie game time!
But what do Naughty Dog do? They give you an extra 10 hours o...
Oh my...is your ass jealous of the amount of shit that comes out of your mouth, or is it like a 50/50?
I'm trying to figure out if you're just trolling for the lulz or if you have some form of autism since you've literally been commenting and hating on every article about TLOU2 that's come out this last week.
It's sad when dementia strikes someone early in their life, but luckily for you there's plenty of medication and treatment p...
When practically every COD game in existence averages a score between 7-10 don't you dare spout your nonsense that TLOU2 is a piece of shit game because the story was weaker than the original.
And worst of all are all the keyboard warriors sat around sniffing their own farts thinking they know these characters, the world and what the theme of a Last of Us game should be better than Sony, Druckmann and the entire ND team that literally spent 1000's of hours discussin...
So avoid it. Simple
and then you have a game you'll never play.
It's a great game, but certainly not without issues. Issues that could have been fixed with more development time or a bigger, upfront budget to expand the game with more content and more rigorous QA.
It's obvious they reused a lot of assets from RE2 and perhaps even cut out sections originally envisioned for RE3 to ensure they could hit the release date of April 2020.
All in all, a fun game that had more potential than was utilised.

OK GamingBolt, seeing as you're confused, I'll help you out.
The PS5 is a gaming console that...
1. is betting big on revolutionising sound in gaming.
2. is far more developer friendly than any console ever has been so it can help reduce and alleviate crunch time, bottlenecks and unnecessary level design to hide loading times.
3. is slightly less overall spec-impressive than compared to Series X, but due to the custom design will most li...
I don't think it was a misstep, even if it was odd to reveal specs but no actual console design.
Currently everyone is talking about the PS5 and the stream, and although it's constantly being compared to the slightly more powerful offering from MS (at least on paper), this isn't hurting Sony.
Obviously after the beatings Microsoft has taken over the last 8 or so years they have finally decided to go the PS4 route. "A monster of a console. For gamers!" - they want easily digestible marketing materials.
This will of course raise the costs of manufacturing which should also raise the price of the console itself, but knowing that if Sony undercut them on the price point again they'll lose a lot of Day 1 customers. Chances are they will keep their price...
Explain like im 34. What advantage does MS have with their 3.8 extra Flops compared to the PS5?
If it is so it is so... Can't speak for Xbox but PS4 has plenty to offer now, and upcoming, to keep me content for the foreseeable future.
It's obvious Sony are waiting for MS to show most of their hands, let their hype die down and then have their own PSX event where they will announce the console, price, games, etc... and from then on keep dropping trailers, news and information leading up to the release date.
Also, Sony are in such a strong position from the success of the PS4 that they don't have to talk over MS at this point.
Why?
What expectations were subverted? And how were old characters destroyed?
