You completely missed the point. The Playstation 5 that you purchase at the beginning of the generation can play all the games that will ever be developed for the PS5. You cannot walk into some store and buy an average PC and expect it to run every single computer game in existence, let alone the games that get produced 7-8 years in the future when the next console cycle comes along. I buy consoles for the reason that I don't have to regularly update the hardware. If I wanted to do that, I'd do it on PC.
