I believe a better analgy would be someone stealing your keys, then you blaming Chevy for your car getting stolen
Personally I'm not just a gamer, I love tech and how we can take what we have and combine it in awesome and interesting ways.
You say convoluted and unnecessary, I say robust and additional. Phones and TVs are a great example of taking old school and applying new ideas in a "smart" and useful way. I love being able to have apps on my phone, and watch netflix straight from my TV.
They are of course trying to make money, but I think its more fro...
@Sonic
What do you meaning by charging for half of a game you've already paid for?
@Root
What is the hipster gamers? I guess if people play a popular game then they aren't "real" gamers. Can you please make a list of games that they can check off to be deemed worthy?
Sounds like you don't partake in many "social gimmicks" in life.
@theWB27
Your music/cars analogy was spot on.
Exactly. It basically costs them nothing to let those players download a game for "free". If the Scewdriver in Hydras example came from Star Trek replicator then it would be more accurate, haha.
I disagree (with Totti and ZombieNinja) and def think 5.5 would mean a broken game. I view it as a 55%. Or about half of what it did, it failed at. A 7/10 or a 'C' would be the minimum for what I would consider a pretty good game.
@ZombieNinja A 1 or 2 would be unplayable
Doubt it, Cortana was based off the brain of the woman credited to be the "Mother" of the Spartan project. It would be a pretty huge stretch to throw the curveball that she was actually Johns mother (Dr Hasley that is)
I think its showing that Cortona in some ways has motherly instincts toward John. As well as him viewing Dr Hasley (the Spartan "mother") as the closest thing he had to a mother as he grew up.
@Morganfell You're right, all these sites that cover video games clearly are going to be afraid of one of the top products they cover doing well. Thats like saying ESPN is afraid of your alma mater, so thats why they write "bad" articles.
@CmonBeReal I find it funny that you claim people dont know about business, yet the only thing you mention about Sony is the PS3. You might think its the best console, but many people disagree.
@battleax Not t...
Does the 619 represent the number of Pokemon games released? Pokemon off-white is coming out next month, I hear its pretty legit
Lol, to the peeps who disagree, if you dont think at least a million people wont buy it, you need to learn a thing or two. But you will see soon enough, so it doesn't matter all that much
As more and more titles are put on both of the major platforms, this is where they separate themselves. Yes it adds to bragging rights, but more than that they get to play it a month earlier, which is more of a fact that gamers like. This will lead to people thinking : " Well Microsoft is willing to pay to get their peeps things first. Which Sony isnt, so I'm going with MS." This is of course when people are on the fence. A good long term strategy IMO. And leads people to more b...
The million+ people who will buy it disagree with you
Haha, clearly you haven't played the game. Or just like to hate
This is what I was gonna post reading some comments. People act like fixing bugs is like eating a pizza, and the more people grabbing pieces the quicker it will go. It simply doesn't work like that. Law of diminishing returns. Adding 10 more people to the team might see 8 of them twiddling their thumbs 87% of the time.
Be thankful a company is giving you free, awesome content.
Fact= No games "best kills" are as entertaining to watch as Halo's. I don't even play the game anymore
You forget that Microsoft is a lot more then just the Xbox. Skype is a name that many people know. And as KwietStorm has said, Microsoft (and most mega-companies) like to use cash to pick up smaller companies. They have a large scheme and their reasons for doing this encompass a lot more then video game systems. Maybe it is nothing else but to buy competition from something in the works
I also completely agree with you on that one. It p!sses me off more and more people crying about "corporate greed". These evil people in their fancy evil suits. Grow up, are you telling me the company you guys work for haven't raised prices on the products they sell in the last 40 years? Thats what thought, all of you are being hypocritical. Sooner or later inflation will catch up to any industry. No doubt there is greed in big business, but gimmi a break. I could consider you greed...
Your right, we should let everyone do whatever the heck they want, crack, ecstasy, and everything else should be sold at you local walmart. There should be local clinics were people can go to commit suicide. Think of all the money the government would save on rehab! Also school should not be mandatory, the parents should decide whether or not to send there kids.
While I can see your side of let people do whatever they want, in practice your crazy if you think everything will wor...
How in the world did you like or love Goldeneye and not love the original Perfect Dark? That just doesn't compute. I'm not bashing you for your opinion, just wondering how the heck you came to it. Perfect Dark did EVERYTHING that Goldeneye did and made it better. It actually had a story, weapons that are still talked about to this day, and a multiplayer that on many levels has not been topped by any game. They put everything in that game that they could including the kitchen sink, and it was ...
@Karpetburnz
Hackers were indirectly responsible, and it was more than a few weeks. Also I'm glad you can be honest for millions of other people. Having my sensitive information available to someone isn't something I've forgotten about.
