Honestly, both Nintendo and Sony showed off what they needed to show. Picking between them is really pointless. They had different goals, Nintendo wanted to get back to their core fans, and they did that massively. Sony wanted to show that Move is suitable for both the core and casual, and they showed that they still have great non-move games coming our way. They did that.
They both won. simple.
remember that these really aren't meant to entertain as much as inform, so pacing really isn't an issue with the conference itself.
Sony showed that Move will be enjoyable by both the hardcore and casual, they showed a great line-up for the future, they showed loads of exclusive content, Gran Turismo 5 date. They did really well.
But if you ask me, both Sony and Nintendo won. They had different objectives, and they both accomplished their goals.
Both Sony and Nintendo put on great performances, that can't be sitting well with Microsoft.
No to glasses, on a tiny ass screen. Sony's bringing 3d to a big screen.
Geoff kind has a habit of saying big things of little things. Not saying SOny doesn't have a lot to show, but Keighley's words mean almost nothing.
Nintendo showed almost nothing for the casual, it was all for their core audience. They did a good job just going back to that.
the thing about surprises lego, you don't know if someone has any until they show you them.
Sony still hasn't gone. So no its not safe. Nintendo had a good conference, but not as amazing as everyone seems to think it was. I mean we've been seeing the same franchises for way too long with these guys. It's great that their finally giving the core audience their games, but in the big picture, they could still do so much more.
Would love to see some new franchises. But they're going in the right direction.
Damn, and their conference is still getting worse.
This is a pretty big kick in the nuts if you live in a smaller area.
The graphics don't even look ps2 quality. That's really bad. Gameplay's got a lot to compensate for. But people love goldeneye, I suppose if any game can do it, I don't see why not goldeneye.
But I thought the Wii was stronger than the gamecube by like 50%. Then How come it can't even match what the gamecube could do?
The music quality was lacking way more than the games were from what I can see.
So is mine. Hell Ethiopia probably has a more balanced budget than the United States.
I had Nfl blitz, madden, and 2k as a kid. Just because they were based on the same license didn't mean i couldn't enjoy them all. as a football fan i enjoyed the different perspectives they brought on football games. im sure racing fans are the same way. GT might be superior in very way, but you still enjoy another games approach.
Hm, I guess my respect for IGN can go lower.
the article mentions legal teams and trademarks. that heavily implies lawsuits.
Sony can't, and won't, sue over a similar name. Sony didn't trademark the word Kinetic and all one letter variations of it.
Its just a controller. Really doesn't mean much.
its also that they showed nothing original for Kinect. all the games they showed are obvious ripoffs. If they had a semi original lineup, it would of been ok.
