I said inspiration, not plagiarism.
We need to fix our freakin' court system. Holy crap. A case shouldn't take years to end. Imagine all the money we could save doing just that. It could solve our budget deficit.
On topic, artists need the freedom to use what they see as inspiration. Even if its some smuck who plays basketball in the NCAA, then its ok by me. However, I wouldn't call a football simulation game art.
And also I don't think EA should be at all involved with the case...
Booo. Verizon sucks. Booo.
All those things you mentioned are graphical, and thats not what makes a great game. And graphics aren't what made, and still makes, the PC such an awesome platform for games. I wish some you PC guys could see that.
Say what you want about GTA, but at least they don't milk the crap out of it.
New developers.
I've seen people play guitar with their feet. Fast, intricate pieces, and singing while doing it. I'm sure he can find a way to play Dead Space.
Its amazing what humans can do with some heart and effort.
I think shooters though can get away with shorter single players modes because you can get so much time out of their multiplayer parts. In fact, I think most shooter's campaigns fall short because their story is often stretched too thin, and would fit into a 6-8 hours slot better than a 10-12+ hour one. Nowadays developers can make the single player part shorter, but higher quality, and still have plenty of playtime in their game, because of xbox live and psn.
I don't know how much the development cost, but I hope 30 million (500k x $60) would cover it. If not then Ninja Theory needs to aim much lower.
As long as the menu's aren't laggy, I'm happy. Thats all I care about, if pretty and accessible comes at the price of speed, don't do it.
Nothing worse then a slow, laggy menu, like in Fable 2. God that pissed me off.
Square should just go and remake one of the ps1 final fantasy's and try and get that magic back. Find what FF 12 and 13 were missing that 7, 8, and 9 had.
The PsP2 isn't not going hang with the 3ds. If we've anything learned anything with the Wii and Kinect, its that gimmicks, not substance, sells product.
If I was Sony I'd make the PsP2 a high end product, don't bother with how many you sell. Just make it about software, and selling that software. That's where the profit is for them.
Um you don't think developers have had 18 months to make games for it?
Lets see, WE've known about it for at least 15 months. Maybe developers, gasp, even knew about it, before we did?
They have easily had enough time to produce one core game, at least even preview one. But nothing yet.
New Vegas was made by a different company, just so you know.
He gets paid to write reviews. They should all display at least an eight grade grammar level.
I mean come on, starting it with "I am going to write about"? A college professor would throw a student out of their class if they did that.
There are better ways to learn teamwork and problem solving.
Schools should teach kids things that will be useful in life, not halo strategies.
Thats not to say videogames and school should never meet, but not during actual class time (unless its like a design course). There are just so many better ways to spend time. Like running and playing games, I mean have you seen our kids today?
Not as many as their used too be. It used to be the most talked about series by far. Now it has the same level of attention as any other AAA game, and if Microsoft keeps milking it, that impact will lessen even more.
Halo is THE xbox game. It defines the xbox, and it made the xbox. Microsoft should keep it as its haymaker, not as its jab.
You milk a series when you release too many games in too short a time period. They could all be Awesome games, but just having so many out reduces their quality just by there being too many. People simply get bored of the game.
A halo game being released used to be a big event. Game sites gushed about halo for like a whole week. Now, a halo release day comes and goes with hardly a word. And its all because there is a halo every year now, not because their worse games.
"Joshua is a graduate of Full Sail University’s Masters Program in Game Design."
I thinks its time to toughen up the curriculum a bit. Pure idiots are getting masters.
Its not EA's fault the players don't get don't get paid. It's the NCAA's. It's not EA's responsibility to pay for every person's image they use, thats the Licensing company's job. But Its set up to where players are forbidden to receive any payment for their college sports career. That's NCAA rule #1.
Blame the NCAA, its their rule.
