Its really not that big of a deal. I mean this type of crap is bound to happen. Its happened to virtually every console thats been created. I don't support piracy either but this type of stuff just happens. Not much you can do really. Piracy barely impacts sales anyways. Name one game that you can honestly say that has been effected by piracy.
Theres tons of console mods for the 360 and you never see any of those creators going to jail. Plus look at geohot. After he cracked the iphone and went on national tv and talked about how he cracked it. Nobody tried to sue him. Either way this thing is a waste of money.
Your bound to be banned while using this thing online. So online games are basically out of the question. Its just going to be a cat and mouse type of thing. Sony gets a new firmware update, these hackers find another way around it, yada yada yada.
Its really ridiculous.
This summer was god awful for games. I barely even played many video games this summer. Starcraft 2, and modnation racers was really all I played.
Well the game is at least.
If it didn't that would be pretty damn bad.
I highly doubt this effects sales at all. Maybe like 10,000 or possibly a little more. Most people never mod there consoles. Its really not worth the money or the time. Half of the time your waiting for the little hackers to update there hack just so you can play your games after the latest firmware update.
Its obvious people were going to copy this. Who would want to pay $150 for this thing anyways?
How many people even mod there game consoles? Probably less then 1%. Pirating really doesn't effect anybody. Whos going to pay $150 for that PS3 jailbreak usb drive anyways? You would have to be retarded. Plus with firmware updates its just going to be a hassle. Sure these hackers will release there own updated hack to bypass the firmware but its going to be never ending now.
With every Halo game....well to be more specific every 360 game. How can someone disagree with me? It always does happen! Some people are so timid.
Its so meaningless. You cant be 1st every time. So deal with it I guess.
I wasn't necessarily talking to you. Either way its a very lack luster experience. Yeah, I love linux. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 netbook remix as of right now. I'm just saying Ive used it and it was a horrid experience. Its a chore just to get the wifi working.
I personally like the US.
How was it disappointing? MS had the worst E3 of them all. Remember the French dancers prancing around to Kinect?
Remember them saying how Forza 3 was the "definitive racing game of this gen"? That one ginger guy I believe his name is Dan something....he said that at least 4 times during the E3 conference.
This is the official Gamescom awards! HERP DERP! See heres Gamespot talking about it http://gamescom.gamespot.co...
It was a horrible experience. Plus theres barely any distros that support the PPC OS anymore. Ubuntu dropped it a long time ago.
Edit: Well have fun I guess. Ive personally used it and I can say it was pretty bad. No flash support either.
No flash support, ran like a turtle. LOL... linux on the PS3 was useless for your average consumer. I mean just install linux on your computer. The only thing worth using the other os for was a server cluster.
The 360 was hacked the same day it was released so....
