As devastating as this ladies mistake may be there really is no reason to give her such a lengthy sentence. She just made a dumb decision that caused a terrible accident. Everyone in the world makes mistakes, this mistake is a little dumber then most but still it was just a bad decision. She never intentionally tried to harm anybody.
