The difference is Xbox has Halo and Destiny, whereas PlayStation just has Destiny.
So the effect is not the same.
Yes, those games that have zero replayability that take 8 hours to finish after paying $60 to buy are Sony's bread and butter.

I plan on enjoying both Titanfall and Advanced Warfare.
The Titan gameplay adds a whole other element. It changes your game entirely.
