Let's go ahead and pretend you actually care about Pure Chess. And also pretend enough people cared to play it to warrant cross play. Who do you know, assuming you already own it, that plays it enough to invest in a feature like that? We both know (along with everyone else) that you don't care about that game.

I still don't feel like Spider-Man itself is a system seller though. Sure people are gonna play it cause it has 2 basic groups of people that it attracts; the gamer and the superhero fans. But I just can't see it as a reason for someone to go buy the system. I haven't played a Spider-Man game since the second movie based one but I'll probably maybe get this one. Just my thought on it.
I wonder if you guys are saying that it's a beast and much better than the "useless" Pro because it's so much better than the original Xbox One. Remember, you gotta think about what it's an upgrade from. Around 40% stronger than the Pro; okay, but it's 5x stronger than the original One but still no original games. And also twice as expensive as an already tweaked Slim just to have 4K in some games.
Cause you get more games and different ways to play. Xbox had little variety compared to everyone and the $500 tag doesn't justify the purchase.

It was never really irrelevant, just not really game friendly at first. Still isn't completely but X gets hardcore gamers talking. Casuals and people who only play like an hour or 2 a week aren't gonna care. Xbox One as a whole is a let down but the X only makes the S seem a good offer.

They almost neck and neck when the talk was actually in the open. Neither would lose anything then but only one would lose now. Literally no reason other the fan service to start it this late in the gen.
