It's obvious to me that the Wii has been in production for some time now if they have to include a firmware update. They aren't likely to open thousands (dare I say millions) of boxes to upgrade. These suckas are ready to go!

I played this thing religiously on the DC only to have my seaman croak. The duration and comittment to the game is massive and without being able to go back and restart prior to the little dudes death was very frustrating.
The use of a mic on the DS makes this a perfect game to go to. Every kid that has played with a Tomogachi (sp?) could dig this except that it was not that easy a game to play.

This doesnt make any sense whatsoever. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the 360 product. There must be some far reaching and underlying reason for this level of distain.
It's truly baffling, and all of MS bucks can'tfigure it out. Maybe its just an anti MS position. We are all surrounded by MS but that doesn't mean we have to like it.

There is no way to convert analog to digital. This may be a cable for the HD-DVD or there is a new SKU 360. Can't see it happening
Real game play footage. This thing looks like a blast. The Wii60 argument is becoming more evident all the time. Wii for my kids (and definetely dad) and a 360 for the old man. Even my 16 year old son is saving up to get a 360 at Xmas. "gears of war baby, gears of war" to quote a teenager.
I was also disappointed to learn that it wouldn;t be available for the 360 as this game alone wouldn't have sold me a PS3. The footage looks awesome and I'm glad to see more 3rd person games coming to the the xbox. That style of game will sell me a system and with Mass Effect, Indiana Jones, Splinter Cell, Fable 2 etc. coming out now this.... awesome.
I'm just not digging the UMD format. Make it a flash cartridge or SD or something. Reduce the number of moving parts and the costs go down and reliablility goes up.

Who in their right mind would side with either format? No industry standard equals consumer apathy and lack of interest. Who wants to be on the 'losing' side of a purchase. Standardize the format and you will see the acceptance rate skyrocket. Its not about the money, nobody wants to be standing there with a worthless $1000 Beta, MD etc.

The biggest complaint about the X1 in Japan was it's size. Show them how it will fit in their component racks (or not). SONY just tells the Japanese market 'jump'and they still say 'how high'? I don't get it.
Gaming site journalism is not journalism, they must break every rule of the AP (associated press). Intended or not, that's misrepresentation and if this was a credible newspaper or editorial publisher it would be considered such.

I bought two DS's last Xmas for my daughters (Mario Kart-WiFi) and couldn't resist getting one for myself. My only game is Brain Age.
I use it on the crapper and while my wife watches lousy soap operas on the TV. If you haven't tested yourself, you should.
