I actually read what you said just now, an emulator is a VM as well yet when you save a save state on an emulator it doesn't save the whole memory.
AGIAN factually any system could do what xbox is doing regardless of how it works. PlayStation both 4 and 5 and Xbone have quick resume features, the only thing Series is doing is saving copies to the SSD and allowing you to have more than one.
There is NO reason why this can't be replicated without &q...
I prefer not having "smart delivery" so I can choose either the PS4/Pro or PS5 version... options...
And I don't need my console to tell me how to install my games I am smart enough to be able to click either the PS4 or PS5 install option.
Same with the SSD I prefer being able to choose which one to use from a wide variety of competing products versus the "convenience" of having one proprietary SSD.
There was no digital version obviously but, just use the battery back up to save the memory pool.
The point is, saving a memory pool has existed and has nothing to do with "Velocity Architecture".
Xbox one or even the 360 with their mechanical HDs could have this same feature, it would be a little slower sure but there is nothing that would stop it.
I find it interesting that so many reviewers seemed to take issue with Horizon FW "being too much like H:ZD" and said GT7 was "too much racing" Yet those same outlets gushed praise upon Forza Horizon which is just racing and has comparatively almost no new features and is more or less just a location reskin of the same exact thing...
And Halo which released unfinished with a 6'ish hour single player and a bare bones multiplayer scored so high and wa...
"Quick Resume is powered by the technical capabilities of the innovative Xbox Velocity Architecture in Xbox Series X|S."
No one tell them about save stating NES games in the 80-90's.
It's such a Microsoft thing to do... to take something that existed for decades and act like they invented it. Sure it's a nice feature when it works but acting like this couldn't have been ...
You need to look at what Sony actually publishes. Sure they have the big budget games that steal all the press but they publish and create tons of other smaller titles.
And what are you talking about on dev kits? You're stuck in the 90's. Dev kits have been loaned (mostly with permanence if the developer keeps making games) since the PS4 and even later in the PS3 life cycle. Now when it comes to publishe...
Oh, but my friend, I have a strong spine, trust me.
I have to dial it back for N4G.
Actually looking at your comment history, I see the problem, you don't understand my sarcasm.
You see the people who constantly becry "cancel culture" are quick to want to cancel any game with brown or gay or female leads, it's the same people who yell cancel culture who are so quick to review bomb any game with the aforementioned issu...
I always check the price on amazon and ebay before I buy anything digital yet I have tons of digital games.
If you're looking at just the generic dime a dozen AAA sold 10 million copies games then yes, you can often find them cheaper physical, but if you're looking for more niche/indie games PSN almost always has them for cheaper.
