A small community of fans on the PC? Are you fucking kidding me?! Just go to bfbcs.com and you'll see that all three platforms are basically even in terms of players. Not to mention that a bunch of hardcore BF2 players may not have bought BC2 or are planning to upgrade once BF3 drops. PC is the lead platform for a reason.
The reason there seem to be so few quality PC games is because the library is much, much larger. We also get nearly everything that consoles do and the multiplats almost always look and play much better. Of course, there are some exclusives that PC doesn't get but it works both ways. Additionally, most people that can afford a gaming PC can easily afford a console - not the other way around.
No. Call of Duty is already dead. It killed itself.
I almost replied with an insult but after thinking more carefully I decided that you are correct. No, it's not bad for old tech but can you imagine what it could look like if developed for the PC under the assumption that, say, everyone owned at least a GTX 470. You would probably cry.
I'm sorry but the omission of multiple origins and races as well as a shorter storyline, more linearity, and (IMO) a silly art style means I won't be picking this up. I LOVED the first but after playing the demo and reading several reviews I am highly disappointed. Also, IGN said that much of the game takes place in one city. Really? Sorry Bioware I really wanted to support you on this but I just can't.
NOO!! It's gone! Where else can I watch this?
The guy on the right definitely has a poop stain spanning the length of his asscrack.......
Shogun 2 and maybe AC:B for me.
First of all, I was referring to the original Crysis. Secondly, I own all three consoles but PC rapes face.
Crysis looks better than Killzone 3 lol. I'd love to see GG keep the same graphical fidelity in a game with expansive environments. Oh wait, the PS3 isn't capable of such a feat. Funniest thing is, that game's nearly four years old.
Well I just tried it out. Looks okay but not as good as Crysis IMO. The smaller environments aren't as impressive and some of the textures are atrocious. Runs at a solid 60fps on hardcore with an HD6970 and i7 950. Too bad the gameplay sucks. Hopefully the SP is good enough to warrant a purchase.
Seriously? Buy a desktop.
Honestly though, I don't want the CoD crowd playing Battlefield 3. They don't know what they're doing.
Go back to school.
"There can never be racial harmony..." Exactly, so stop trying to create it.
Sweet card man :) I bought a 6970 to replace my 470 because I want to do Eyefinity and the 2GB VRAM helps. I can't even imagine what these cards are capable of because no one utilizes them to their full potential.
I wouldn't. The matches don't feel anywhere near as intense as a "256 player" game should. I never really had fun with it so I traded it in. Stick with BFBC2 until BF3 comes out.
Funny how this turned into a Crysis 2 vs KZ3 vs Rage thread.
@inveni0
I don't know much about the 560 but I had a 460 a while back and it could nearly max the original out. I know the 560 is just a revision but it is certainly a more powerful card so I don't think you'll have any problems. Plus, Crysis still looks great on High with 2X AA. Good luck!
No DE please. It's impractical to use it in intense war situations I think. I realize this is just a game but this list feels inspired by Call of Duty and I do not like that. If there are claymores I'm going to be seriously pissed. It's used to get cheap, easy kills and would completely ruin the game IMO.
