Well its seems Sony cherry picked the questions to suit the answer's they only wanted to give. Im from the UK so im curious to see what the surprise is they have instore for us on this weeks psn store update though (prob both LBP and Afrika themes).
I think this blog update leaves even more questions unanswered....

Did anyone else notice that according to the moderator on that particular news thread, Sony is commenting on the 3.0 fiasco Tomorrrow???
I agree that overall its a step in the right direction. The Network Operations team have done a good job. Ok, the friends list is alittle ugly but its looks like they have a more deeper plan for the "large greey boxes" surrounding the names. Im hoping they have another annoucement today - Part 2 of the walkthrough of firmware 3.0 that is released tomorrow. Part 2 will show the revised friends list and that you can voice chat across all games :)

C'mon Eric surprise us with cross game chat please.We all know its been in development and its no "super secret" that it should of been included.
EA have publicly stated that they are not behind the hold up, so just call their bluff and release the damn feature!

Super_Secret made it clear that EA were the only publisher opposing the implimentation of cross game chat. Now EA have voiced their comments stating they are all for voice chat on all systems Sony should just call their bluff and release it in next weeks update. EA couldn't cry about it then as they have given said statement and therefore would have no leg to stand on.
I'm confident we will see this implimented sooner rather than later as we all know that Sony pretty much has it up and...
Well its now or never in 2009 for cross game chat! Lets just hope their is a good reason why Eric & co didnt show the revised "friends" options in the previews of firmware 3.0.... unless ofcourse its a "Super_Secret" to be revealed Tuesday 1st September... :)
Im a huge PS3 fan and dont like to moan about Sony, but if Eric is speaking the truth here I think Sony should clear out their current "network operations" guys (Eric first to go) get some fresh blood in (maybe poach some microsoft employee's) as its taking them forever to impliment basic voice features aswell as other features that the competition had had for years.

The lack of PSN features or interface upgrades was a major blow for us PS3 I feel. Seriously how long do we have to wait for party chats etc. I was hoping Jack Tretton was going to annouce and release firmware upgrades today :(

Good work GG, but the party system updates should have been there from the start tbh. COD4 still has the best party system which no doubt will be even more awesome in modern warefare 2.... BUT killzone 2 is in my eyes the premier shooter on ps3 and will I'm sure be known as best fps of 2009.

Ofcourse i may be being a tad optimistic, but releasing 2.76 made perfect sense in the lead up to E3. None of us know what 2.76 has done to the PSN, but there is a chance it may have implimented alot of code to take the burden and strain off 2.8 which should have the voice chat features and more. I agree with crazyclown, i think Sony will announce and release 2.8 at their keynote speech. 2.76 was the minor update to stabilise the PSN ready to support a huge update at E3. C'mon Sony give us all the party chat/communication features we want!!!
Sony to announce and release firmware 2.8 during keynote and will feature all the communication features we have been asking for. That alone would steal the show for me and plenty of other PS3 fans. Offcourse, seeing some footage of Uncharted2, GOW3 and MAG wouldn't hurt either..... Any one agree about FW2.8? to me it seems logical for Sony to release it at E3...

We all know how strong the software line up is,and how more powerful the hardware is, the only missing link is a stronger online componant in the psn.
If Sony mentions and released the 2.8 firmware during E3,just like the PSN VideoStore last year, that alone would steal the show. Ofcourse IF it includes the much requested cross game voice chat etc etc... I think their is a big possibility Sony will do this at E3 during keynote.
Gamewise im hoping for ingame footage of God of War 3, UNcharted2,M.A.G + Gran Turismo 5 ( Along with firm 2009 release dates)..

In game music is an OPTIONAL feature that is in the hands of the game developer to implement. Its not in everygame like it should be and it seems very half baked at present. Some games do allow custom music but 90% dont. Yes I know Sony wanted to make it universal, but it is not. Im not saying one day it wont happen, but c'mon 3 years have past since the launch of the PS3 and its still not here in a solid form like LIVE.
