That's not just the way it is. That's you not having a clue. Sony make sales from Blu-rays which includes games. So the losses on the hardware is made back from the software, pretty much like every single console ever at launch...Surely selling more once their price goes down isn't going to help control the losses. And they are making losses on them at the moment.

oh right, so because Killzone exists no other game will be good? Res 5 will probably be better. Res 4 was a HELL of a lot better than Killzone. Everyone seems to think they know that Killzone is going to be incredible...which is odd considering there are only a couple of reviews. Having played this demo I can safely say the game's gonna be awesome.
Really? Those are some sick graphics if so. Obviously the animations aren't like that in game, but cos it's cutscenes they look better. I'm impressed if the graphics will look like that in game tho.

Yeah it is laughable. Fair enough (not but we'll pretend) that they do a closed theater thing for dedicated fans, but to release footage on the internet, but not make it available themselves, or available in HD is pretty shocking. Y don't they put the HD versions of th eCGI trailers on LIVE or PSN so people can start getting more excited? It's like they're hiding something...but they're probably hiding how amazing it is. At least we'll DEF have some HD gameplay footage in a couple of months, ...

Hopefully but we saw a similar level of hype of LBP and those sales weren't exceptional. Obviously this will have more mass market appeal, and obviously be attractive to graphics whores such as myself, but the web hype won't translate to sales. Sony advertising the hell out of it like they should will tho. Yeah, he said he had to release it at the more expensive price point to recoup costs but it turns out he's made a mint due to the price cos so many people bought it. It's quite odd that he's griefing Microsoft, who were the people who believed in him to begin with and released Braid at all (which is a fantastic game btw). U think IGN will give Killzone a perfect 10? It's only ever given 2 out in it's existence...Obviously it'll get a 10 for graphics, any reviewer who doesn't isn't credible. If Resistance got 9.5 then Killzone should get a 10 but I'm not don't think it will, probably around 9.7. Sony better drop the price of the PS3 soon, although this game may mean that they won't have 2...

Also consider the fact that U won't be able to install it on the PS3 but U will be able to on the 360, making the multiple disc argument moot. Releasing it on more than one disc is giving them space so it won't necessarily have inferior graphics or anything for that matter, but the fact it's a port may result in that. The Save-game interaction won't happ...
