NURBS are fine for modeling, but they have to be converted to polygons at render anyway. Can't be UV mapped. Plus most graphics hardware is built entirely around rendering triangles. Direct X and OpenGL can only render to lines or triangles(strip, fans, or lists).

Sony has put NURBS support in hardware before, but it has horrible performance. Current gen games are already using tessellation, which is what TRUFORM was. If i remember right, counter-strike ...
90% of this is sculptures in ZBrush. It's all stuff that can be done now, at least on high end PCs. The simulations, specifically smoke, gives me hope for some good gameplay uses.
Why are there so many men being sent to fight and die to monsters. Robots and women are given more value. They sit on the back lines with sniper rifles and don't face danger until their men and pets are killed.

When the expansion pack launches this year, it wouldn't surprise me to see a pc version come out. Maybe someone on the dev team will have a chance to play Diablo 3. Kinda like how RoS fixed almost everything wrong with D3. The loot at least.
It's a combination of national pride, loyalty, marketing, and the shift to mobile gaming. The lack or prestige also brings it down a bit.
Not really thriving, it's just kinda there. Most people are just farming for gil at this point until expansion hits. When I went back a lot of them would say some variation of "Welcome back, let me know if you need anything.". Until you ask for help with coil or extreme primals.
Maybe I just need a new server, made the mistake of continuing with the same people I played 1.0 with. Which when we voted for a server chose the same server as quite a few backstabbing...

The answer is completely relative. Something like Dragon Age: Inquisition where mounts are useless, yes it helps. Metroidvania or classic resident evil, no. Don't want to go back down that thin hall with crimson heads and an annoying camera switch that will turn you around? TOO BAD!
