Planetside is bearable but Warframe is complete trash. Those two games are free on Steam so i dont think any PC gamer in their right mind would buy a PS4 just for those two.

Thats the only consoles reported on the internet and they only calculate from the number of early releases they didnt count all the pre orders yet. Not just casual gamers love mario and mario kart. Its a solid, competitive, fun racing game that can be enjoyed by anyone.
Like they sold the DS and is selling the 3DS also. But seriously theres also a free Wii Fit U full game demo for a month on the eshop. You also get it for free if you have a balance board and the new pedometer which goes for $20. If Nintendo can somehow let enough casuals know this by Christmas the shelves will be clean.
Sony had a bad few years not just a quarter. Lets not forget they sold two buildings (one which was only completed in 2011), fired a bunch of staff and sold off/ closed down development studios just to make a small profit and please investors last year. The PS4 can turn the tides for Sony but as far as ending up like Sega, mcstorm is right Sony is the closest at this moment. Lets not forget the Vita is also dragging them down so even if the PS4 is successful they can still suffer losses.
Im a Mario fan so the constant Mario games dont bother me but youre right about franchises that they choose to ignore for no apparent reason. I have a feeling if Nintendo fans dont be real with themselves and demand Star Fox and Metroid to return Nintendo will ignore it, drop it and forget it like they did with Earthbound.
Miyamoto is the one that is preventing online multiplayer on the Wii U, he needs to work on smaller projects and stay away from franchises that need more features if you ask me. Iwata is good where he is but he needs to stop being the nice guy, take charge and tell studios what games to make (Should have told Retro to make Metroid instead of another Donkey Kong) He also needs to buy or open new studios because Wii U is a HD console it takes longer to develop games for unlike the Wii.

DS dont look that different from the 3DS and i remember people saying the same thing when it launched. Look at it now its dominating. Only thing Nintendo needs to do is open/ buy more studios to make games in mass production and advertise the GAMES just like they did with the 3DS. Even the Vita is an example of powerful hardware but a failure of a handheld sales wise.We have all seen this scenario play out over and over every generation and people still doubt the Wii U? Wait till that new Mario game drops around Christmas, all the fantards on this site will go crazy and damage control every thing about their favorite company.
So....a very interesting Mario game in December followed by heavy hitter first party games in 2014 (Smash Brothers with stable online), Donkey Kong, and a Zelda tease/ possible release. Not sure if Nintendo is as serious with the Wii U as they are with the 3DS but Sony and Microsoft should be cautious.
Historically every Zelda game has looked significantly better than the tech demo that was shown. I wouldnt mind the same graphics and art style of the demo though.

@AbortMission Its funny people think Capcom was bribed. PS3 was just incompetent and irrelevant in Japan at the time when Wii was dominating. Eventually Japan did get an updated HD version of MH Tri a year after the Wii release and guess what? IT STILL SOLD LESS THAN THE Wii U VERSION!!!

No its poorly put together consoles with cheap parts in poorly packaged boxes. Good hardware dont just magically malfunction in abundance. IGN and Kotaku's PS4 didnt come from Amazon and they had the same problems. Most of the consoles have defective parts in them because Sony barely has money to make a quality console in abundance.
