My only beef with the PS3 is the price and the controller. If Sony does do a price drop and I can get a 360 mod controller for it im all for it.
Even if its as good as Sony reps claim it is I doubt it will hold up to the hype or sustain anybody's interest for more then 6 months. Its not a system seller Ill tell you that much.
So how the fuqqqq will I rent games when I cant get my wireless network working. And whats going on with the holographic storage medium? Also as long as any new console has 3D capabilities and motion control Im down.
Who cares if its shipped or sold as far as MS, Nintendo or Sony is concerned they still get their money when they ship the products. Do you think they ship the goods before payment. PS the only thing ratings are good for is deciding what game Im going to rent not buy. And honestly the only game I buy consistently is NBA 2K*. Everything else gets rented first then bought if its worth it. The only exception to that has been Gears and GTA, not even NBA2K.

But then again MS charges 150 for a 20GB hard drive so go figure.
I think what they plan to do is sell a different controller for every game as the tech is getting cheaper by the day. EA was talking about that before. IE the new balance board for Skate It.
what they mean is that it maps you kind of like a GPS does and tracks all movement not just your motions left right etc. It is a little exaggerated but what it boils down to is lets say a golf game the wiimote can not determine the speed of your swing as opposed to this where it can measure the speed and power etc. in your swing so its more technical or as they would want you to think "more hard core" I want one for my kid but im still skeptical until I play around with it.
I think what this is what EA was talking about peripherals they may include one of these as a golf club with their games. If its not overpriced it may work. Asides from that I dont see lots of devs jumping on this bandwagon. Unless MS wants to include it in the arcade for six months with a wii sports copy but they may not want to spend the money. But again that casual market is killing them so you never know. When did they say this was coming out 09?

I do I want motion control for for my GF and kid and I don't want to pay $270.00 plus %15 tax ($310.00 total in Canada) for a Wii. So if its in the $100.00 below I'm in.
