@TylerDurden
Sigh.. You can play MP on a 512 ISDN connection, the stability for the cloud levels off at 1.5 MB upload speed. I know because I use and my customers use Azure everyday, so 20 MB for a stable connection is beyond ridiculous.
Except that arcade games show up automatically in your library, dlc confirmed, and all GWG titles on 360 will be back comp.
Mattrick was an idiot and they had a terrible mission statement and bring that forward. They should have designed their console like steam where you can stay offline, but once you buy a game it is registered to your account and they can verify it when you go online.
You are so beyond clueless how this actually works and what obstacles they would need to overcome. Not worth arguing with a brick wall. Posting outdated videos sigh..
Amazing that cloud compute and "power of the cloud" has gone from PR speak and not possible on consoles to Sony can do it to, or it's not that impressive. Never change n4g.
Gaikai is a game-streaming service only, like OnLive. I can't fathom why people don't understand this. Sony rents servers from Rackspace to leverage Gaikai. They would need to completely change their mission statement if they wanted to do this. Also since MS's APU uses dual channel buses, their software is built to keep latency low when leveraging the cloud.
Tinfoil hats half off. I've raided with him on Destiny and he was chatting with my clan, so yeah he definitely plays. *rolls eyes*
Sigh you seem very upset that MS has this tech that actually works the way they orginally described it. After you spent months defending how it wasn't possible and merely a gimmick. You are the biggest type of hypocrite.
Also no, the servers Sony is renting from Rackspace our data hosting servers, the tech this required uses multi-threading shared data. Big difference.
Nothing disappears, it is all persistent on the cloud cluster it falls into. He shoots the debris to make it finer, it never actually fades from the scene.
This is exactly right and what I was trying to get across to people
First rule of project mayhem, is we don't talk about project mayhem.
They have tried to push the PS4 in eSports and not even 1/5 the gamers showed up for tournies. I have to agree that this is going to take a huge chunk out of the competitive scene for CoD, not that I care. I haven't played a CoD seriously since MW2.
What a clickbait title, my God.
@GameNameFame
This is not comparing the physics, what it allows them to do is when they meet their max draws from computations of deciding collision and particle direction is it then off-loads those computations to a server and depending on the number of draws continues to multiple this using multi-threading to even spread the work. RFG used a technology that Volition created which allowed the geometry to be terraformed, but no lasting results to the particles that were displ...
So I take it you didn't watch the video, since he explains all this in the VIDEO.
Same thing that happens in every other MP game? Also, I really don't like clowns either, so we are on the same page there.
He stated all this right in the video with multi-threading and off-loading the physics and collision. It takes millions of draws to calculate this data, which extrapolated over a whole city would eventually use 20x the power of the XB1 CPU.
So there it is folks the demo you have been waiting for since MS announced how cloud compute would effect gaming. Servings of crow all around.
Predictable? MS could have announced HL3 and you would still be disappointed. MS now has 9 big titles for 2016 plus the exclusives this holiday.
How do you still have 5 bubbles? You going on a tirade about internet speed and you don't even understand how the technology works.
