I would not say that MS "wasted" $50 million on extra content for GTAIV. The additional content creates a very strong value proposition for gamers on many levels.
1. Customers whom own both the 360 and the PS3 may be encouraged to purchase the 360 version as it promises a greater gaming experience in terms of additional content.
2. Customers whom own only the 360 feel validated in their decision to only purchase the 360 and thus strengthens their brand ...
With such a great lineup leading up to the holiday season a price drop will not be coming until next year. The games coming out are console sellers especially Halo 3. If you do not own a 360 yet plan on buying one for any of the games coming out then the price is not a factor. MS is trying to make the gaming division profitable. A price cut now would mean leaving money on the table and make it harder/longer to reach profitability.
Furthermore, a price drop now would look like a...
Microsoft has a very strong lineup through the end of the year, probably stronger than either Sony's or Nintendo's. Whereas their (MS) future lineup (8 months out or farther) to this point is not nearly as strong as any one else. They had to play up to their immediate strengths, which I think they did a good job of
how true you are...... XP will stay on my PC for at least another year.
If you are admitting you didnt quite finish the game then would you mind refunding me a percentage of my purchase price????? Or how about a discount on PGR4???
This kind of drop is expected as the console is reaching maturity and there is increased competition in the marketplace. I imagine we will see a surge in 360 sales as the AAA titles are released later in the year and we approach the holiday season. Original IP's of good quality always push console sales. My only concern is that the release of Halo 3 will shake out the rest of the 360 consoles that have issues resulting in the RRoD. Gamers will be playing Halo 3 more than any other game on 360...
No second analog stick!!!??????? That stinks
This looks HAAAAWWWWWTTTTTTT..... havent been excited about burnout for a while, this changes everything
I really never paid much attention to this game......vid was funny...looks like it could be fun, just scared it's done by EA
That game got me back into arcade racers....loved it! Please make this game good EA!
The video quality was not great but it did appear that the framerate for 08 was slightly improved. Also, the player animations seemed to have a few more frames....could just be me... Overall though, it would be hard for the casual fan to distinguish one from the other

Where the hell does the article say that either console is beating out the other in sales????????????????? It doesn't. The article says that 360 has hit a wall.... that means that it is not continuing to increase in sales numbers week over week. Sales have begun to level off and or decline. Much like the PS3 in N. America and Japan.
Screen Digest is an industry analysis group. They make a living doing product and industry research. If you want the "proof" as you put it then pony up the money and BUY the report. And just like it isn't legal for Gameindustry.biz to post the findings in the report it isn't legal for you to either. GI.biz is only allowed to summarize the report.
Furthermore, unwad your panties because they had some great things to say about your beloved 360 in the article...."s...
I think you meant moot. Not mute..
Make sure you take a pic and post it first
Anyone else notice the top 10 lineup for PC's? Will shooters ever again dominate on PCs or has the cost:performance ratio finally put the final nail in the coffin? How many people will be buying Vista, a new video card that is the same price as a PS3 and possibly more ram just to play one or two games? Combine that with an XBL account for your PC and gaming on anything other than a console just does not make fiscal sense. You can buy a nice HDTV for less money then most people would have to s...
Interference on the 2.45 Ghz is the prime culprit here. MIcrowaves, cell phones, and cordless house phones all ride on the same frequency and are equally capable of causing interference. Bluetooth is also natively passive meaning it will allow for other traffic/intereference to clear before transmitting. Although later revisions of bluetooth protocol allow for spread-spectrum functionality in order to prevent latency due to interference and other traffic in the spectrum, bluetooth can still ...
Tony Hawk is by Activision....S.K.A.T.E. is a new franchise by EA
you have just been added to my ignore list.
I have a plan: If everyone starts ignoring the posters whom make inflammatory and or derogatory remarks instead of responding to them then we can make this a much better community. Eventually those posters will either leave because no one is responding to them and or they will start becoming meaningful contributors to our community.
Just a suggestion
