i suspect its more like 5x faster due to the custom design of the PS5
the fact that all Developers are showing 2080ti footage and not xbox footage should tell you all you need to know about the xbox version

variable clock speed is there to save energy and reduce temperature of components
the problem with variable clock speed is sometimes there's lag when your at low clocks and you want to get to high clocks, but of course mark cerny eliminated this issue with instant power change, it is not an issue with the PS5
xbox was designed to be a multi-plat box, for easy Pc porting, having a little 4tf machine wont make any difference to Phils plan for xbox, its essentially a Subscription box

Blu-ray Drive may be 20 Bucks but you also need to pay someone to install them, i don't think its done by a Robot
install one drive & 4 screws lets say it takes a 30 seconds, every 120 drives is an hours pay and when it goes into the millions, you will also need to pay truck drivers and fork lift drivers and it also needs to be unpacked and stacked and lets not forget those 4 extra screws
