I'm sure many of the 30+ million XOne owners do. Their UI is so pathetically laggy, it's a chore to use. Anything that improves that is a plus. Trade offs have to be made on occasion.

A system does not fix the reputation of Xbox. People aren't as much complaining about the XOne's performance, where the Scorpio's increase in power will satisfy them. They want a better library of games.
So.... in short, no, this will not fix the Xbox One's reputation whatsoever.
Could come out next decade and it wouldn't make much difference. This thing looks incredibly underwhelming, doubled up with it's gross pre-order/season pass/dlc bulls**t, it's even more repulsive.

Ugh. SE has made Mankind Divided be the s**t stain in Deus Ex's underwear. Talk about completely ruining what could have been, a truly awesome follow up to Human Revolution.
This game was botched from the "Augment Your Pre-Order" fiasco onward. You could feel SE's grubby hands in there ruining the entire thing, and ruin it they did.
Title makes it sound like it's no longer in crisis. Given how divisive this game is in terms of its fan base, I'd say it's in worse shape than it was with RE6. At least (after a little time and people came around) most people agreed that RE 6 was trash. This one splits the group right down the middle.
I could swear I saw a nearly identical titled just an hour or so ago. Also seen plenty more on various other sites. How many of these "Is RE 7 really RE" articles are going to spewed?
The fact of seeing so many of these practically everywhere, indicates that no, it is not a true RE game, or we wouldn't need so many of these dumb things trying to justify that it is.
