@Bathyj "You think PD could have spent what they did and took the time they did with EA or Activision? Hell GT would be a yearly game and suck because of it."
You have pretty much summed up the difference between Sony, and everybody else. This is why they produce quality, and why you will always have opposition against the PlayStation brand. Anyone with a PlayStation product, will always have someone saying they have a cheaper alternative that's better.
Why did IGN have to go to Sony? If they had just played the game they could have told us themselves. Also I received damage from the start, but have assumed that it will get more severe as the EXP goes up.
The ipad is this seasons gadget.
I had my pal Wez, who is a noob to gaming, play Forza, and then GT5. Same cars and tracks. Forza, he wizzed round the track. GT5, on the first left turn he was on the grass. When I explained to him to drive like it was a real car, as opposed to a game, his concentration level increased and he was able to finish the track. He felt more like he had achieved somthing afterwards, and became addicted to it.
I should make a video, as it was really interesting, although on my part quite sad...
" I know my opinion doesn't mean much, but if you're looking for a challenge, avoid gt5!"
I'd go as far to say, it means nothing.
Please stop copy and pasting your disappointment with the game in every GT5 article, it's really quite annoying.
I think people that say these game sites 'have' to get their reviews out as early as possible, so as to compete with rival sites for hits, have a small point. But ,IMO, although this may be true for the smaller sites, it isn't for the bigger sites such as IGN. People will eagerly await their score, maybe even more so, if they actually take the time to play it through, and they will still receive the hits anyway.
No, definitely not minority report.
@T9X69 You reported the article? You're a sad little man indeed.
The thing I'm loving about this game at the moment is the feel you have for your car. You get really used to how it responds to everything you do, then you'll buy a new car and it feels intimating, somewhat, because you've already spent so much time getting used to to your car before.
The first Gran Turismo I played was '2'. At a young age I really appreciated the level of detail you got from evey car. It felt like I had bought somthing more than just a video game, but a libary of cars, one could never hope to aquire without spending an absurd amount of money.
With the release of GT3, and GT4 Prologe the trend, for me, continued. But when GT4 came along, I regained that passion I obtained as a boy.
Four years in the future I'm playing GT5 Prol...
I've just been asked 'are you alright? Your eyes look red. How could I say, 'yeah, I've just been playing GT5 for nine hours, and have just been having trouble on the second stage, Top Gear, track event.' No, I simply answered, ' I'm just tired.
Edit @ below concerning the replay mode. A way to change the camera mode wouldn't go a miss.
The only guff I hold is, that if MS paid for exclusive dlc until the end of 2012, then I should have to pay less for the PS3 version.
Lets hope he puts his Kinect down for a while first.

Just bought my (virtual) Ferrari 512 '71, very tasty.
@ above, it does say it's short.
I agree with the Shazzman. It seems to be getting near perfect reviews across the board thus far. Lets hope IGN are exposed for the tools they are when the majority of scores come through.
I've been playing this for about seven hours straight, and it's unbelievably good.
"Gran Turismo 5 Will Inevitably Disappoint"
Except the millions of fans loyal to the franchise, and if it brings in some new fans, then good good.
Been playing this with a dualshock today, gonna have to get a driving rig.
I wish I didn't comment when Kinect came out. I lost all me bubs.
@Guntrol Top Gear on BBC HD.
