Considering we're being taxed all the same, and the dollar itself is already a flimsy currency, it seems ridiculous now to be stacking another arbitrary currency on top of that. I'll be happy when MS kills it.

Glad this is shaping up, and I love podracing so this piqued my interest.
Personally I'd prefer something brand new or something really old and unexpected, but there's still some surprising choices here.
I mostly hope Nintendo is less predictable though.
There was a sense in the air that this was the year for new consoles, but that feeling seems to be quickly fading.
Maybe it's just you and I, but the relentless pace of the game releases lately has forced me to raise the standards of quality for what I'll spend time on by quite a large margin. That sucks for the guys making decent, but not astounding games like this, but I think overall it's a good thing.
I'm generally happy with current consoles but I get frustrated by low framerates and sub-HD resolutions. The graphics bump of new consoles is enough for me to say, bring them on in 2012.

This is reminding me a lot of the 360 launch. Cheaper than expected for the platform itself, but you'll almost definitely spend enough on accessories or the 3G version or the $50 games to even it out.
I don't now how they ever could have with touch controls.
