They did have the weaker console that was also more expensive at launch, but they also had better launch titles with Ryse and Dead Rising 3 versus Knack and Killzone Shadow Fall. For me, it's between COD: AW, GTA5 Remaster, Last of Us Remaster or Sunset Overdrive. I have really been blown away by GTA 5 Remaster so I would probably go with that. Advanced Warfare also did a great job with the entire package, SP+MP+COOP and the graphics were bumped up and the framerate still smooth as butter so that's probably my close second.
Of course they can afford it, MS is a huge company that makes a lot of money. However, they should really keep the momentum going that they have created. It would be foolish to kill the current hype for the system. It has great games, solid online and now has a great price point. If I were in charge I would push like hell to have the console remain at the current price point just to move as many units as possible. They can easily make up the loss through software and Live.
Sunset Overdrive on Xbone and Infamous Second Son on PS4 in my opinion. Both great games by the way that can be had on the cheap. Multiplats that looked great on both systems would be GTA 5 and Advanced Warfare.
Manhunt 2 was also censored to the point the executions were obscured by a filter. There was a code that did remove them I believe. Censorship in gaming is stupid when the cinema genre is filled with everything from extreme violence to extreme vulgarity to extreme sexual content. Gaming should be treated the exact same was as any other form of entertainment.
For me personally, it was The Evil Within. That game had amazing enemy design but was so damn clunky I couldn't get into it. I found myself running all the time early on and was so turned off I sold it back. It's the only game I sold back all year and I bought at least 7 brand new games day one in 2014.
Bloodborne and The Order: 1886 two of my most anticipated games in quite some time. Can't wait to dive into both come release. Bloodborne really looks like it's going to be on Demon's Soul's level of epic proportions.
These groups are so starved for recognition and attention it's pathetic. I say give it to them. Round them all up, arrest them and publish their identities and addresses, embarrass them and their families and sentence them to jail with a hefty fine. If they do it again and get caught, make the punishment three times worse. Problem solved, these idiots couldn't afford the legal fees nor would they survive long in prison.
That sounds like a waste of time and money to me, just sayin...On topic, I buy at least 1 game per month unless there are multiple releases like in October/November of 2014. Then more than likely 2 in a month if I can afford it after bills.
Me too, The Order in February followed by Bloodborne in March. I'm taking time off work to play both games and I really can't wait.
This is great news for all parties involved. Nice to see more gamers upgrading to next gen consoles, bigger gaming communities are always welcome in my opinion. MP games benefit tremendously which is good.
I'm really excited to see what this game delivers. The graphics look excellent and I hope the gameplay is well done and most importantly fun. Looking forward to lots of new gameplay and a western release date.
It sure is nice for those who never played GTA5 or Last of Us on PS3 to be able to play them on PS4 re-mastered. The difference is game changing in both cases in my opinion. Call of Duty has a more arcadey style and is much faster paced and easy to get kills. It's fun, plain and simple and that's why it always wins. It's an extremely smooth FPS console MP shooter that's fun to play with friends, the gameplay is also tight and frantic while being pretty balanced overall. I have purchased each COD since COD4 and have no regrets. The core gameplay is great.
The game is about Tense Dungeon Crawling, Epic Boss Battles(Smough and Ornstein?), Looting, Demon Slaying/Monster Hunting, Tons of Secrets to Discover, Ability to NG+ The Game 7 Times, Online PvP, Need I Say More? Let me guess, Skyrim is better right?
Just keep trying, the Souls games always seem ridiculously hard but the beauty is the more you play, the better you get and more you will learn to help you overcome the difficulty.
Demon's Souls had THE BEST MULTIPLAYER MODE THIS GENERATION,period. There was no contest and anyone that beat that game knows this is a fact.
This was the only game that interested me at Sony's conference, still disappointed by no info on Agent or Last Guardian
M$ did better than I thought, still think the show wasn't that great and Sony will have better games. Those games honestly aren't that appealing to me personally.
