I like NHL. I like Dead Space. I like Battlefield.
No. I will not stop buying from a company because a bunch of people on the internet get pissed off at every little thing EA does, even if other companies have been doing it for years. EA screws up plenty, but a good 80% of the vitriol I see is completely unfounded.
What's pathetic that if all the bad press EA gets said Valve instead of EA, people would be eating it up and calling it the next step for the ...
"They have the best selling console of all time"
Really? Because I'm pretty sure it's a well-known fact that the PS2 is the best selling console of all time.
No, there was a game with the same title announced in 2001 but it was a different publisher and developer. This was announced in 2008. No connection besides the game's name.
When is Crytek going to learn to shut up? I remember them bragging about how much better they were than Naughty Dog and Bungie before Crysis 2, and that game was trash. The more they talk, the more I sincerely hope C3 crashes and burns.
Killzone 3 was better than most shooters, but it was still significantly dumbed down from KZ2. Hopefully this will be a return to glory!
How 'bout no? I'll play the game normally, and I'll enjoy it.
One of the producers went, this is something Ubisoft Montreal has been working on without him. Though Ubisoft bought THQ Montreal, so he's back with them now.
The devs have stated on multiple occasions that universal ammo won't be in the full game, and that they gave you extra supplies so you could play around with the weapon crafting.
The devs have already stated that much of that demo is different from the main game. The full game doesn't have universal ammo, supplies will be much more scarce, etc. And if it's that big of a deal, play on the harder difficulties and experience the game the way it's meant to be.
The box art on the original is obviously the best of the three (I felt DS2's was extremely lacking) but it's got the same issue that BioShock had. People will look at it on the shelf and be like "A floating hand? WTF, screw that." The box art is obviously trying to appeal to a wider audience and it doesn't really phase me. The box sits on my shelf while I play the game, and if it's that much of an issue I'll make and print off my own custom art.
I really doubt they've made it take forever to find supplies in a full retail game. EA does some ridiculous stuff, but even they throw gamers a bone every once in a while. They aren't dumb enough to do that.
Everything is going to F2P + microtransactions, or at least that is EA's strategy going into the next generation.
Nah, the title should read: Another article of whining because EA is doing something that everyone else is doing, just because they're EA.
If you want to play the game for yourself, you can. People who are too lazy to play the game for themselves... Well, I don't really care if EA makes more money off of you. If they made it more difficult to find supplies so you'd want to buy them, the game just got harder, didn't it? Games are easy enough as is, more challen...
I remember Sony saying that they aren't done with SOCOM. Most fans still play Confrontation (to my knowledge) and Slant Six seemed eager to make another not long ago, so that series isn't going anywhere. It'd be easy enough for Sony to hand Wipeout off to a new team as well.
People talk about the loss of Zipper like it was one of Sony's top devs going down. Maybe last generation, but Zipper was borderline incompetent this gen. MAG was released as an incomplete game, and SOCOM 4 was just bad. They were losing more money than they made, and it was clear they were on their way out.
I hope the talented guys there have found new jobs, but for whatever reason, Zipper just dropped off big time in between consoles.
By marketed it incorrectly, you mean just didn't market it at all? I didn't see one advertisement for the game, which I was extremely excited about after playing it at PAX and playing in the beta. When it became apparent that it wouldn't hold a strong community, I just passed on the game entirely. Considering picking it up for cheap now, but who knows if it's even worth it.
Or maybe, the game just sucked regardless of whether it was a port or not. Crytek are fantastic programmers, but they can't create good, interesting, enjoyable content to make use of their tech at all.
This is the same idiot that gave Journey a 2/5. Why do his reviews continue to be posted here, and why the hell is he on Metacritic?
Yeah pretty much, lol
FIFA is regularly one of the highest rated games every year. Same with the NHL series. The sports games are extremely well made, whether you like them or not.
