Now there is a new concept
Honestly though, with the way 360's burnout, a slim version might not be a smart idea. Not to mention the HDD would have to fit on it, and the power brick is also gonna be an issue.
3 Discs? That's so FF7!
From what I've seen of the game, it just seems that some of the settings are bland, like the textures aren't there yet.
Kinda like in Halo, how you are always in they always put you in these huge environments that aren't very detailed, you can't interact with them or anything.
As far as GoW3 goes, I was more impressed by the number of enemies on screen, the flying scenes, those look bad ass, and the huge titans hulking around in the background were also impressiv...
For those that have worries about the game being gimped to fit on 360, it sounds like they are struggling to make it fit on 3 DVDs. I wonder if they are going to have to cut some stuff out.
Its funny, but I wasn't aware Sony needed saving, and I also didn't know that is what they intended to do w/ the slim.
Sony still hasn't touched on a lot of their big franchises: Socom, GT, GoW, Jack and Daxter, etc. Plus they still have Heavy Rain, Agent, The Last Gaurdian, Uncharted 2, and MAG slated for release.
If you ask me, Sony is finally starting to get serious.
uh, newsflash people - just because you play a lot of COD doesn't make you a weapons expert.
Unless you're in some form of Armed Forces I think we'll all have to take those opinions w/ a grain of salt.
What's next, are people going to start critisizing the needlers in Halo as not being realistic enough?
Not really a fan of the l4d series, Valve really needs to get a new graphical engine already
Still, this is a shallow comparison at best. The most these games have in common is the fact that they are shooters and they both have co-op. Dead Nation reminds me more of a smash-tv/burn zombies burn type of game.
Fable 2 the best RPG ever? Do you know what an RPG is? Fable was just as much a hack n slash. Everyone I know who owned the game played through the campaign once and never touched it again. It was definetly a case of being over hyped.
So, a 360 is overheating at a game convention - big shocker there. That's what happens when you leave one on for hours straight in a plastic case w/ no air ventilation.
I'm not surprised it was Mass Effect though, for some reason Oblivion always gave my 360 a hard time until it ended up crashing it...Bioware is just too good at making games.
My biggest gripe w/ valve is how long it takes them to develop something. I really do think they need a new graphical engine already, and if source code came out when it was originally slated, it would have been more impressive for the time. Now it just feels outdated.
This game sounds interesting, unlike Alan Wake, which it will inevitbaly be compared to, it sounds like this game takes place in more of an enclosed environment. That brings bag good memories of the old-school RE games to me. I liked the way they made you explore you surroundings and discover your way through the game.
Honestly, I think the 360 failure rate is about 30%. I know, because I fix them by pulling of the X-clamps and cleaning of the heat syncs(which is easier than you'd imagine). It is such a simple procedure I can't imagine why MS overlooked this flaw in their design. I must repair about 10-15 360s a week, and all that from a single ad on Craigslist and word of mouth.
This guy considers himself a writer, there are like 4 grammatical errors in his summary and title alone! Talk about an english teachers worst nightmare.
Yeah, I always thought that Timesplitters 2 was criminally underrated. That game was challenging as hell and was even more fun when you played co-op.
The Huanted Mansion level totally reminds me of Nazi Zombies.
I'm still not sold at all on this newfound interest in motion controls. Whatever Rare has up thier sleeve, I hope they aren't making another kiddie game like Viva Pinata or the last Banjo Kazooie game they did.
IDK, im not anticipating I Am Alive that much, never was a fan of Assassin's Creed, they're both made by the same team.
God, it never ceases to amaze me how much people overrate advertising. Don't get me wrong, its important, but its really not going to make or break the sales. People who are going to buy this game know when its going to come out. Like if they don't advertise for GT5 nobody is going to buy it when it comes out? Give me a break, word of mouth is just as important as advertising - which means make a good game and get people talking about it.
GoW3 will easily be the best selling PS3 exclusive(aside from GT5), I see it doing about 4 million in sales.
A lot of people try and tout the fact the the PS2 had sold 120 million consoles when GoW2 was released, but a lot of those people had also already moved on to Xbox by that time.
Not to mention, GTP sold almost 4million, and that was just a glorified demo. MGS4 - another ps3 exclusive that has sold 4 million. I really don't see all these people buying MGS4 ...
I just can't understand how people are so psyched for SCC. The game has been delayed like 4 times now, and the last 2-3 sequels ubisoft churned out in this series were mediocre out best, hence the reason they've waited so long to produce another one.
Personally, I think it looks kind of cheap how you can just pop out of a door and take out like 3 enemies automatically, and I'm having a hard time understanding what's so revolutionary about this game - it looks a lot like the oth...
