I haven't played it yet either ... but only because my Dad's receiver broke so I donated him mine. Why? Well my old one wouldn't take HDMI audio, so no high def audio on that receiver. Just bought an HK AVR247 ($225 from Harman's ebay store) with PCM over HDMI, so I can now play MGS4 over High Def Audio Surround Sound. Kojima didn't want to compress his audio, so you shouldn't either!

It normally is. But with GTA IV fresh in everyone's minds, this is a serious question. Hardly anyone has come out and said MGS4 is not the best one in the serious. If anything it's up there or tied.

to be 16:9 and square pixels it'd have to be 1366x768 (like a lot of LCD's) To have a 1024x768 res and have it be 16x9 you have some horizontal scaling.
Remember a few years back when HD plasmas were widescreen but 1024x768? Yeah similar thing, those plasmas had rectangular pixels.
