It had its shortcomings but I enjoyed it. Let's hope there is a Ryse 2 with the necessary improvements.
C'mon, we all know Halo 5 is coming at some point.
Dual Shockers sure do love speculating on every job posting out there in the gaming world.
Anyway, new Halo, old Halo, different Halo, bring it on.
..And drop the ridiculous price of digital games too!
I have a X1 and hardly ever use the Kinect. They should drop it along with a price cut and then all they gotta do is BRING THE GAMES!
And hopefully sort out all that 1080p business too.
Actually he was sacked because of a pay dispute, not because he was bored.

I actually liked Neil Davidge's work on Halo 4. I don't think the game took advatange of it as the music was so low and you couldn't adjust the volume, so you could barely hear it. The soundtrack even got into the top 50 billboard chart which is a first for a video game soundtrack.
I wouldn't mind Marty coming back but I would have thought it might be too late for Halo 5.
I see what you are saying, but don't forget all past comments were all made whilst Xbox was under a different boss. I've worked for large companies where I've had to promote things I didn't agree with and never had the power to come out and say they were wrong. I'm not saying that's exactly what's happened here, but it is possible.
Personally I don't think DRM was the only issue, but getting games back in focus is the way to go with that in m...
None of us will really know what was planned and what wasn't. But, all this guy is saying is the decisions made were either wrong or communicated badly and it hurt him to see that. What is wrong with that? This guy is passionate about Xbox having been with it for so long. There's nothing to say he didn't have to go along with what the company wanted for Xbox and then get hurt in the inevitable backlash.

"..went to work at two issues; public perception and proving that the cloud and DX12 are real advantages for XB1."
As far as I can see he's been answering questions on Cloud and DX12 either via interviews or questions on twitter. When has he gone out of his way to provide details on this?
As for public perception, of course that's going to be a focus. It doesn't take a genius to see that its been tarnished in the last year and percep...
Mixed messaging was part of the problem though. MS didn't even mention anything about family & friends sharing. Had they gone out on stage and said our vision is an always online console, but at the same time presented the advantages as a consumer for having it this way, things might have been different. Instead they left it in the background as if it was a dirty little secret that they didn't want anyone to find out about.
The negativity on this topic has rabid fanboyism written all over it.
It would appear that everyone has become an expert on why this demo will fail in the real world. Of course Microsoft is not going to bother thinking of latency, bandwidth, available servers, server power, how it will fit into the games etc etc...right?
MS already showed Halo 4 streaming onto a PC and a tablet but said getting this into the real world is difficult, so don't you thin...
Cool! Thanks!
Maybe we'll see a reunion party in Halo 5 ;)
Is Kelly still alive?
I like this guy, great news!
Well I really can't see how maintaining a digital game is more than all the costs I mentioned, so I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
It's a rip-off because it is far cheaper for Microsft/Sony and the publisher to distribute digitally. There's no retailer, no shipping, no packaging, no disc, no printing manuals etc etc. As well as that they don't lose money on trading it in. There is absolutely no reason why digital games should be the same price as retail games.
BF4 & AC4 are still £55 ($90) each on the UK store. The digital rip-off is still alive and well.
FFS. Still no digital discounts!
