You know those ghosts are just following him to win an iCade iPad cabinet.

I'll boil it down to 1 thing -- trying too hard to recapture what they used to do, while not realizing that you can't just do what you used to do, and not listening to what their fans want them to do. It's their fans that buy the games, and if they're not making what their fans want to buy... no more fans, no more money.

Did Sony ever officially announce it was coming back tomorrow?

Drinking makes every game better, it almost makes the Wii playable.

the other sucky consequence of no PS Store is no redeeming voucher codes, etc. :(

The sad thing for Sony is the timing -- right before E3. I guess the worse timing would be DURING E3, or right after.

wow, that's a lot of games! ;-)

Better to leave the PSN down for a month than to have it up right away and have a more serious data breach and have to go through the process all over again. It sucks, but they need to take their time to make sure they do it right the first time.

I don't understand the people pitching fits about this. If you need to play online that badly, then you have a problem. Go outside, it's spring.

Now that would be epic, a slide-out game pad, with a slide-out keyboard that slides out of it.

Having used a touchscreen Android phone for the past year, I wouldn't miss a physical QWERTY, but for me to jump ship from my current carrier to be able to pick one up, it would have to be a lot more "PSP Phone" than "SE Phone with some PS bits thrown in". It's a step in the right direction, but too small of a step for me to bite.

@Sev

Yeah, not having PSN connectivity was a bad choice if they are going to try to lure PS gamers.

Put it on the PSN, have some kind of PS Marketplace similar to what Amazon is doing with their Android AppStore that links with your PSN account so PSOne titles that are available that you've already purchased can be downloaded for free. Improve the PS app so it can access your friends list, send messages, etc. Allow you to download movies or TV shows you&...

I think most of the people who wanted to play PSOne games on their Android device did so with the emulator that had been available. Of course, they took it off of the Marketplace just before the Xperia Play launched. It doesn't really surprise me that sales are so low. I would have been more surprised if they had been higher.

Those f'ing pigs started it. The birds just want their eggs back!

Sony is going to have to step up to get out of the shadow of the PSN downtime.

Penny Arcade has a good one too that mimics the "It Only Does..." ad campaign

no, no. He's protecting us from the PSN. It was starting to become self-aware, bringing it down was the only way to prevent Judgement Day.

5385d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Oh, it's already alive. It's just in a coma until they're done with internal testing.

Damnit, I want the Red Faction demo. And after finally playing the Costume Quest demo, I am jonesing to buy the full game. Please oh please let the PSN come back soon

5385d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

I need to go back and play FF7 again.

How is that trolling? He said it is going to be a big game -- 3 discs for Xbox, and a full blu-ray for PS3. There was no denigration, no claims of superiority -- just facts.

5389d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

That's very clever. I don't mind being marketed to when it's done cleverly
