I have been playing this demo the majority of the day. Did the entire trial moode for a refresher, and been back and forth Sol/Ky in Arcade mode. So damn fun. Can't wait to use my boy CHIIIIP! Freaking Sols Dragon install looks so awesome, and the music change is cool also. THIS is the fighting game I can't wait for this year. I got it preordered. Halo 1 & 2 are fun. Halo 3 I didn't enjoy as much. I don't know if I was just halo'd out at that point or what. Never bought another Halo after that. 3 put that bad of a taste for the series in my mouth. Now I get to see what I missed with Halo 4.
You honestly believe that the particle effects from certain moves on the game, usually projectiles, are the reason this game is now 900p? In a 1 v 1 fighting game? So all the effects, detail, character models, blooming and everything else in say... Battlefield 4, pale in comparison to what's behind the scenes of a fighting game? There's no reason for the game to be just hitting 900p let alone not being 1080p. Other than of course development team size or skill level. Maybe even budget...
To people with smaller televisions the resolution won't matter. That's the only way I can understand people saying it's not a big deal between 1080,900, and any other "p". I see the difference immediately. I talked about how rough killer instinct looked on my TV (all of which over 60", 3d, and one 4k) and the thought I was trolling. I will always welcome a higher resolution version if there is one available.
Thats why it looked so shitty on my TVS!!! You just solved one of my problems from the launch of the game. My TV's are so big that the game looks jaggy as hell. All around looks rough. When playing with the season 2 update, things look a bit smoother and clearer. Its hard to explain but thanks for the link. BTW I didn't do any disagrees. I just hope that the new characters are not as broken as Sadira was, and in some ways, still is. The only real broken old schooler was Saberwulf. He had shit that was simply unblockable. (Dash through you and start a combo with a low frame move like eclipse) which is fixed now but damn it took ALL OF SEASON 1 TO DO IT. Hopefully things will be resolved faster if there are some broken tiers. (shout out!)
Graphically I would say Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Don't get me wrong, KI has better particle effects and the backgrounds have more going on. But the backgrounds cannot be interacted with and they really do not look that amazing. (Except thunders stage during a Ultra. Love it) Tekken wins the character model comparison by far in my opinion. I am also of the opinion that the game should look far better than it does.
