They did this game all wrong. The abilities did not make sense for the characters a lot of times, there's like 4 variations of the same characters, and the maps were poorly made. Not to mention that graphically it was far behind what we had already been playing. The store is a whole other story. Sales has nothing to do with causality. Why you wrote that is beyond me. KI has is considered casual and easily appealing because of its auto combo system. Anyone can pick up KI and do a combo, which in turn gives instant gratification. Makes you feel like you're doing something. Name another fighter that's as pick up and play as that? It's not a bad thing. Sure it gets more complex if you want it to, but if not you can do combos with reasonable damage and not spend hours learning...

It's crazy how old I must be getting. Virtua Fighter did this a long time ago, and while it's no less impressive, it's still been done. When you went from virtual arcade to virtual arcade the tournament players and their custom characters played much like their real life counter parts. Setups, combos, footsies, and all. I fully agree. From someone that actually has the game it's no issues with gameplay and I've seen zero lag or slowdown. Even online runs great. It's shows every room as zero connection but when you go in a room it's all green bars for players. Hitting 1 frame links like nobody's business. I really wonder why no reviewers are saying these issues, but random unknowns are saying things are trash. What do they gain? Oh well. After work I will be right back on this "terrib...
Just like many games this generation it can be patched. These guys make it sound worse than it is. I have the game and I've only had issues with the menu lagging at times. The game itself looks and runs great.
