If you're waiting for more, i would prepare for some disappointment. Phil Spencer already said he was worried people would blow it out of proportion.
I don't know who you think you're talking to. Microsoft is trying to unify the ecosystem across all windows devices so that Xbox doesn't just mean console, it includes PC too.
So really all you're doing is talking smack to yourself.
A valid point, but it's going to take awhile
Unlikely. Oculus/Vive > PSVR > Samsung Gear.
Kinda disappointing that there's nothing extra in the breakout box actually. Some extra horsepower wouldn't have hurt. As it is he says that already most games are running at 60hz and being reprojected to 120hz. That doesn't sound like they have a lot of wiggle room in terms of performance.
Then again I guess psvr isn't aiming to be the highest graphical fidelity VR experience, they're aiming to be the easiest to use and most fun, which I imagine the...
Still worried it's not gonna hold up to oculus and vive. Only problem with psvr is that it's static like the consoles. In a short time from release, oculus and the like are going to continue to get more and more impressive as PCs keep upping the ante hardware-wise, but psvr is going to be stuck with the same hardware. Not trying to be a jerk, just wondering about the longevity of console locked VR hardware...
It was probably meant as an homage.
Neither do virtual real worlds.
Do you think naughty frog will ever get into the VR game?
Darn, I was hoping I could drive a tank around NYC...
It might be a rumor? Or you're trying to start a rumor?
You heard from where exactly?
Honestly, I pulled the trigger on this game as soon as they announced cross play for free (plus free Alan Wake and American Nightmare). I own an excellent gaming PC (which is hooked up to my TV nonetheless), but I'm still planning on playing it on Xbox.
Performance issues aside (which personally for me are few and far between), the game is amazing already. They have until June to iron things out, that's a reasonable amount of time to get things smoothed out.
Honestly, in addition to Ark, I got Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Star Wars Battlefront over the past couple months, and all me and my buddies want to play is Ark. It's that addicting.
100% accurate predication right here. It will be between $0 - $1,000. Guaranteed. For sure.
I doubt PSVR will have more games... there are already at least 271 in development for Oculus: https://en.wikipedia.org/wi...
What will be interesting to see is which one has more "quality" games.
Also, Oculus (and Vive) will be the only one providing VR porn. So there's that...
Really impressed with this game, despite the early build it's very solid and pretty addicting.
Who doesn't love instadeath??
Honestly, that's the biggest advantage Oculus, HTC, and Samsung have over PSVR. Porn literally created online video streaming, webcams, and the WWW as we know it wouldn't be the same without it. Imagine what people will do with VR Porn.
And whatever you do, don't look at https://www.reddit.com/r/oc...
"Ori and the Blind Forest" says hi. Yeah, sure that's a bit of cherry picking since it was only $19.99, an indie, and also available on Xbox 360 (so was RotTR), but all the same, it was profitable in the first week. Also, Titanfall, and historically, Mass Effect.
Not trying to incite, just pointing out that there are plenty of examples where games have sold very well while available exclusively only on Xbox and PC platforms.
DirectX 12 has the ability to utilize multiple GPUs at the same time, similar to SLI, only it doesn't require the same model/maker pairing so you can use discrete and integrated chips at the same time for extra performance benefits.
It's called Multiadapter and apparently it works quite well. So Microsoft could theoretically add an additional GPU to the existing Xbox one for significant performance gains.
How that could connect with the current...
