I don't disagree with you, but the Gamecube actually had decent third party support. It got most of the multiplatform titles, and many of them were superior to the PS2 versions. It just got slaughtered by the almighty PS2, which was an absolute monster that generation, everyone wanted one. To be fair, the newcomer Xbox didn't really fare that much better than the 'Cube.

I agree. The fact that friend codes are back and you can't even send text messages to your friends, on the console or the app, has made it impossible for me to play a League Match on Splatoon 2 so far... and I've already spent more than 40 hours on that game.
The hoops you have to jump through to be able to play certain modes makes it almost impossible, and Nintendo needs to resolve this ASAP. It's bullshit.

ARMS has already sold more than 1 million copies to date, which is great for a new IP on an install base of 4.7 million.
Also, it's got a 77 in Metacritic, so for the critics this game is at least decent. Seeing how it's going to get free content all year (fighters, arms and stages), it will only get better. Just like Driveclub, which was a much better game at the end than it was at launch thanks to all the free content added. Or like the first Splatoon..

And these are the Nintendo exclusives (although admittedly 3 of these were also available on Wii U, but nobody bought that console, lol).
