@segata: every NSMB game has made Nintendo a truckload of money, each easily becoming among the top selling games on their respective platform.
Also, Nintendo has published only one of those for each console, which could be the reason why we haven't seen a new one on a while. Hell, they even made New Super Luigi U.
Why would Nintendo want to put that franchise into hiatus when it's one of their best selling and is relatively cheap to make? Nah, I ...
The way Nintendo operates, I suspect their next Mario platformer will be a 2D one. Either a new New Super Mario Bros or a new Super Mario Maker.
Either way, count me in. :D
...and same with Mario 3D World. Doing the bare minimum to beat the main story is easy as pie, but if you try and do something beyond that, you'll meet an healthy challenge. The last world has absolutely killer stages, with Champion's Road being an awesome nightmare of 3D platforming. If you try to go for a completionist run, that game will last you a while.
Not only is this a non-issue, it's actually even less of an issue than normal online play, because on local play you can instantaneously update your game by copying the update data of any other Switch player you're playing with. It's pretty fast because it copies the data directly from a console to the other, no need of a internet download.
So... whatever? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Very well said. Don't mind the disagrees, a lot of people here are just on hate mode and can't give credit where it's due. Expecting the Switch - a console the size of an iPad Mini - to run at anywhere the same graphical fidelity or performance as even a base Xbox One is ridiculous.
Millions of people watch the Game Awards, and the main reason they watch it is game reveals.
Switch is a bit more powerful than Wii U. If this rumor is true, then Bayo and Bayo 2 are probably just quick ports, with very little done to them in the way of optimization.
Switch is also a bit more powerful than Wii U.
This is N4G. You answered your own question.
Nope, Zelda and 3D Mario aren't Nintendo's biggest sellers. 3D Mario is among them, sure, but nowhere near the top, let alone Zelda (which, despite its revered status, doesn't really sell THAT well compared to other Nintendo games).
Pokémon, Smash, Mario Kart, 2D Mario and Animal Crossing are among the best Nintendo selling IPs. And Nintendo hasn't released a new entry on any of these games for the Switch yet.
Now you got me laughing picturing a dead janitor with angel wings looking fondly at the new mop at work.
Thahnks.
People bought TLOU remastered on PS4 at $50. And that game was barely 1 year old.
Same with GTAV, which also came out on Xbox One, and that one was $60.
So, nope.
Read in Kelso's voice:
BUUURN!!!
Honestly, all those great Wii U games (and there were a lot of those...) deserve a second chance. I say, port them all to the Switch!
Yeah, that's what I suspect... but the trailer said "available now" :(
Where's it? I just fired up Zelda and can't find it anywhere. And it's just updated, too. :/
This comparison is even sillier, actually. Switch is portable. Wii wasn't.
It doesn't matter what Nintendo says. The fact is, it's a device that is barely the size of an iPad Mini, and you can play it fully on the go. That's portable by definition.
Nintendo could say the Switch is a giraffe, but that wouldn't make the Switch a giraffe. Let's use our common sense. Comparing the graphics of the Switch against those of actual home stationary consoles is ridiculous.
So, if a website aligns with your own opinion, it's telling it as it is, but if the majority of them don't, they're giving Nintendo a free pass?
Hilarious.
Man, all those disagrees. It baffles the mind how people can be so sorely lacking in a sense of humor. Or sarcasm detection capabilities, for that matter.
Anyway, back on topic: I'm in, too! Gran Turismo was just a rip off of Pole Position anyways!
