While Microsoft is rallying round celebrities and telling everyone how great they are,Sony has there head down working and keeping there mouth shut.
Instead of running to every hint of publicity and badmouthing there competitors they're just releasing game after game after game and letting that do the talking, which is how it SHOULD be done.
The jabs and smacktalk coming from Turn 10 and Microsoft in general just smacks of uncertainty.
Of the time making Gran Turismo isn't just making it WORK,it's about making it work as in real life and flawlessly. Everything is given such a huge amount of work for details and getting it right so of course it takes time.
it's also acquiring and getting first hand experiences with the car licenses and making alot of it authentic.
Gran Turismo hasn't been seen as the definitive racing sim for so long based on nothing,Y'know?
People whine about them not making games for the PS3,but it's because they're not really console developers, they're PC developers.
Valve make games for the 360 because the 360 has the architecture of a PC,games can be ported to and fro with minimum work.
It's not that they lack the skill,it just isn't there "home" so to speak, they work and do well in there own area. Can anyone name an Insomniac or Naughty Dog PC game?
Get out.
Just..........just get out.
Is basically a tactical approach to the Dynasty Warriors series.
Each map is broken into provinces, with a random set of teams and different generals on each, you win the game by conquering the map province by province, hiring generals etc etc.
Each province is host to a battle, some of the themed ones like "Battle of Chi Bi" are there and a load of random ones.
Pretty good games replayability wise.
PS3 - Uncharted 2/GOW III
Xbox - Mass Effect
Wii - Whatever new way they've though up to make you dance around like a prat this time.
Finding and addressing problems was the idea behind a BETA?
PS3-mods are loaded onto a PC by the creator then stripped onto a USB stick and loaded onto downloaders PS3.
I feel more chilled out and relaxed playing a First Person Shooter than it makes me want to shoot somebody.
Online gaming breeds competition, and competition between people is a good outlet.
"God of Politically correct man wishing to debate with his superiors about how he could be a better man" then yes it would be too much.
But it's not,you buy God Of WAR and get exactly what it says on the tin.
I think the Hollywoodesque style is the reason why it's such a popular game.
If it wasn't so over the top and Drake wasn't so charmingly cheesy it wouldn't be as fun.
If they were to drop the over the top stunts and action, skin of your teeth moments and comedy cutscenes it just wouldn't be Uncharted. It would be just another takes-itself-too-seriously game.
Love it or hate it,the Hollywood style of Uncharted is what makes it great.
A) It's basically a modern version of Indiana Jones captured in a video game, and everyone loves the concept of trekking across the world as a rogue hunting down priceless treasures and solving mysteries.
B) Nathan Drake,is one of the most charismatic genuinely funny and loveable-rogueish game characters ever created. To say he's just a bunch of pixels Naughty Dog has breathed more life and soul into him than most A-list celebrities do in there acting roles.
Edit: fo...
Why the hell is there a photo of a Starcraft marine in the article?
I mean look at it,it's definitely impressive but...
It's such advanced AI that it has the potential to be the bridge between Artificial Intelligence and Sentient Intelligence.
Now companies are working on this kind of concepts, government and military funded companies but It's incredibly slow steps and I just do not see this bridge being forded by a games division of a company and announced at a electronic entertainment expo.
If professional AI programmers working on advanced...
Because it really is great technology,I see no use for it in games but it's still great.
And.
Microsoft is gonna have a whole load of egg on it's face if it turns out some guy was pulling most of the strings.
LOL he thinks he's Microsoft now.
Or should I say Nintendo?
Read it...maybe?
You completely, utterly one hundred percent missed my point entirely.
Congratuf_ckinglations.
Proven to be usable in games effectively.
Still a purple dildo though and I'm still not buying it.
Screw motion control, give me a controller with buttons any day of the week.
Playing Virus in the Hanger four-player is the fondest memory I have of that game.co-ordinating everything perfectly just for things to go wrong and someone scream "SCREW YOU GUYS,I'M OFF" and just abandon everyone else at the worst possible moment was always hilarious.
